Rumor Are the Simpsons moving from USF to DHS?

This is why I’m hoping that if Simpsons are in the future for DHS, the plan is to use the Indy Stunt Show area. Add the net new Simpsons attractions there and then put in a Futurama overlay onto Star Tours. Related Groening products right next to each other to create a cool little land.

News Disney Lakeshore Lodge (Project 89 - Development near Fort Wilderness)

I still can’t get over how the Disney River Country Lodge was right there.

News Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

I hope that there is a serious renovation of the MuppetVision theater before placing a Monsters show in there. The size of the theater is way too large for a Monsters show to not also suffer 75% full crowds at max. Hopefully they could rework the space to cover a show and a store?

News MuppetVision 3-D's Future: Potential Disney Park Venues and Vision Pro Immersive Experience

I’ll take even scaled down, or at least something Muppet related taking over the Racing Academy once the Villains test is done and Muppet RNRC is complete. Put in Fozzie Bear’s Laugh Factory, or some such with a Fozzie animatronic and the Waldorf and Statler ones from Muppet Vision. Just...

Rumor Disney resort of some kind in Texas?

If they ever actually go through with this, I still think between Austin and San Antonio makes the most sense. Put there, the resort would be served by two major cities and international airports. From there, further easy access to two heavily traveled interstate highways (I-35 and I-10). If...

Rumor Disney resort of some kind in Texas?

The other consideration for a location closer to San Antonio and Austin is Mexico. You can look at how much traffic San Marcos outlets and San Antonio gets from Mexican tourists and add that to the market potential of the area.

News Disney Lakeshore Lodge (Project 89 - Development near Fort Wilderness)

I’ll settle for pulling the obnoxiously over the top characters out of the interior, a slight redressing of the exterior to tone down the modernity and make a bit more transportive, and a name change. All of which could be done, but I severely doubt will be.

News Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

When did Disney start using the plots of their villains for park expansions - first The Muppets, now Who Framed Roger Rabbit?

Random thoughts of the day - If the suits were concerned about monetizing the Muppets space, two free ideas: Walk-around Ghost of Christmas Present meet and greet Gonzo’s Spectacle of Dancing Lights.

News Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

My ongoing dream is a Great Muppet Ride, where you start on something like a Muppet Treasure Island version of Pirates, and Crazy Harry fires a cannon and blows up the wrong part, sending your boat through Muppet versions of other Disney rides. The Fozzy Bear Jamboree, The Enchanted Chicken...

News Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

What burns me about even the potential that the Muppet area is an option for Monstropolis, is that everything outlined in red below should be considered for expansion before anything is replaced. I realize I have Mermaid and One Man’s Dream in that area, but those are most easily moved...

News Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

I would counter that it’s not one that has to run 50 years unaltered necessarily, but unaltered doesn’t need to mean replaced. Theater attractions should be the easiest to add alternate or seasonal program. Why has there never been a Muppet Christmas Carol 3D show added to the theater for the...

    “Something major” coming to DHS???

The biggest question in this area is not what would cause Universal to completely relinquish the Marvel rights, but what would be necessary to give up the exclusive rights to Marvel east of the Mississippi. As it stands, Universal is sort of in stasis with the Marvel section. They really...

News Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser Permanently Closed Fall 2023

Could it become 100 offices with private bathrooms, meetings spaces, cafeteria, etc. so that the infrastructure behind Animation Courtyard could be demoed instead?

What should they do with Animation Courtyard?

Hear me out - when a certain contract expires at Universal, this would be a perfect area for The Simpsons if Disney so desired. Take in the whole courtyard, all the way up and including Rock N Roller Coaster and the Cars show. Build a street leading straight from the arches to Rock N Roller...

News Disney Vacation Club announces plans for more than 350 new cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort

New question that occurs to me - there are currently around 407 (or 409) cabins at Fort Wilderness. This is promoting 350-ish cabins. What do we think accounts for the loss of 50-ish cabins? Increased size of the new cabins? Reconfiguring the layout? Additional amenities? Just a strange...

News Disney Vacation Club announces plans for more than 350 new cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort

This is intriguing, for several reasons. This seems to be replacing the existing cabins at Fort Wilderness and those pads are close to parking and reception, but far away from Pioneer Hall and the main resort amenities. Does that make this DVC the one with the rooms farthest away from any...

Transformative Multi-Year Expansion Announced for WDS Paris

Change out Magic Carpets for The Whirlpool and Cars for Blowfish Balloon Race and you've got a Finding Nemo themed section, to strengthen the Pixar Area. That would now be Nemo, Toy Story, and Ratatouille.

Transformative Multi-Year Expansion Announced for WDS Paris

This highlights my problem with the IP strategy, and I hope this is a since discarded concept. Discoveryland has a strong theme already and could be one of the most amazing lands Disney has ever created if they stuck with that theme. Even by just sticking with existing rides they've already...
