    Swan vs Dolphin

The Dolphin has more than twice the number of rooms as the Swan, so its public areas are more busy. Other than that I think they both "feel" very similar.

Why is There No Path Between the Grand Floridian & Magic Kingdom?

There's a canal off of the lagoon that would require some kind of drawbridge to allow both foot traffic and boat traffic to pass.

    AAA Diamond Parking

The Diamond parking really changed our habits on our last vacation for the better. Our room was very near the parking lot so we drove everywhere and being able to use the Diamond Parking most of the time really made things a lot easier. That ended up being one of the best AAA perks for us.

Pirates of the Caribbean VS. Western River Exhibition

I agree the huge pile of attractions idea is the most interesting thing about the concept, there's really no way of knowing what level of finished product we would have actually seen. Budgets got cut back in the 70s too... And in a lot of ways we almost got Western River anyway, in the form of...

WDW Food Bucket List (table service version)

We did the deluxe meal plan on our last trip, and eating at signature restaurants and dinner shows were the only way we could even get close to actually using all of those credits. Even still I think we were having a hard time finishing meals by the end of the week. For us it was fun to try...

WDW Food Bucket List (table service version)

It gets harder to do but I always try to fit in at least one or two new places each trip. Still want to try: Be Our Guest Nine Dragons La Hacienda Rose and Crown Yachtsman's Steakhouse Paradiso 37 Bongo's Cuban Cafe Of course, at the rate I get to new places, it'll take 10 more trips just to...

    Restaurant Showdowns

I'd choose based on where I wanted to be at that time and which restaurants had dishes I wanted to eat. I choose restaurants after my park visits are already planned so I don't have to waste time traveling around for food. After that it really comes down to where I can find what I want to eat.

    WDW Books

Since The World Began isn't perfect, but it gives a good overview on WDW's construction and development up until 1996. The EPCOT Center - Creating the World of Tomorrow book from 1982 gives a really in-depth look at the development and birth of EPCOT Center. Just make sure you get the larger...

Epcot vs. EPCOT Center: YOU Decide!

While I still usually want to type EPCOT Center out of habit and a fondness for the original identity, the fact is the park is now called Epcot. But I also completely agree with the idea that the issue isn't the name, as much as the content. I'd rather push for getting the park back on track...

    Contemporary Theme Park View

Just the view of the Magic Kingdom is pretty spectacular, but having the entire Seven Seas Lagoon panorama right from your balcony really puts it over the top.

    The Diamond Horseshoe.???

Having grown up on the Golden Horseshoe at Disneyland, the Diamond Horseshoe was a must see on trips to WDW, especially since it was a lot easier to get in to see the show. I REALLY miss that they no longer perform it. It was another "one of those things" that made trips really special. I...

    Bourbons..WDW.?

I've developed a taste for bourbon since my last visit to WDW, so I've never checked out what is available there. Knowing both Woodford and Jefferson's are options is a good sign though. I'd also give the edge to Woodford, but I think they're pretty close overall. Right now my top bourbon is...

CS Dining in MK or at a monorail resort?

I'd add Roaring Fork at the Wilderness Lodge to the list. It's well worth checking out, both as a resort to wander and as a place to get a nice quick meal.

Staying In Onsite Resorts! The Big Perk!

I totally agree transportation is a huge perk, but one of the reasons I specifically mentioned free parking is I drove to all of the parks on our last trip and I'm not sure I won't keep driving, at least to some places, on every subsequent trip. Granted, having a room very close to the parking...

Staying In Onsite Resorts! The Big Perk!

Transportation, package delivery, free parking, proximity to parks, theming, and EMH all factor in to why I'd rather stay on property. For me EMH isn't the biggest perk, not even close, and it is probably the one thing that would end up having the least impact on guests staying on property if...

    Maintenance and Upkeep

Same here. My brain registers which song is playing, but after launch I'm just too locked into enjoying the rest of the ride to focus on the music.. Maybe it just isn't loud enough, but honestly, I find many sound levels generally too loud at Disney World, so for if the music on Rn'RC isn't...

    Downtown Disney or Disney Springs?

I'd much rather judge by the actual content than just the name. If this new development is an improvement over what has come before it, I probably wouldn't care if they were still calling it Hyperion Wharf or even just "hey look over here we have Disney stuff." While the Downtown Disney name...

    San Angel Mania?

San Angel Inn is a must do for me. I prefer the menu over the Hacienda and the dining room is my favorite on property. However, for a quick-serve lunch the Cantina's new-ish menu is a big improvement over the previous one, and as mentioned you can take your food inside and eat inside La...

Ever wonder why the Mouse doesn't have a hotel dedicated to him?

I agree. If anything, that room tells me all I need to know about why there isn't a full fledged Mickey resort; it's icon overkill. All of the others are able to invoke a vibe without beating you over the head with simplistic imagery. Black, red, and three circles do not a theme make.

    Attractions that have never changed

I wouldn't put Small World on a "no changes" list considering that major refurb that updated the loading room also changed the direction the ride flows, from clockwise to counter clockwise. You still see essentially the same scenes in the same order, but I still feel like it's going the wrong...
