Santa look-a-like causes distraction at WDW

My daughter and I sat behind a man on the Carosel of Progress that looked just like Santa (a pleasant looking Santa, not creepy like this guy). He wore a Hawaiian shirt with little Santa's in the print. I only think we noticed him because we were so close to him. My daughter was excited to be on...

    Advice/Warnings/Tips regarding POP

We are DVC, but we stay at Pop when we aren't using points. It is very clean. We never have a problem sleeping and have always had plenty of soap, shampoo, conditioner. My kids love the larger then life icons and they make for a great Kodak moment. The pools are great!! We have never had any...

    Tom Sawyer Island

I totally agree. My son LOVES it. He would stay there all day if we let him. Plus, my daughter enjoys hunting for the paint brushes.

    Lost Child Tip / Preventitive

When my kids were little I would get those Mickey shaped paint samples from Home Depot, put all of the cell phones for adults in our group, then laminate it (so it holds up to water rides). I would have it hang off their belt loop. If they got lost, they could just show someone the info. It...

Totally agree. It is my favorite around Christmas too. I really think you will be pleased any time of the year.

? for people that have gone to MNSSHP

MNSSHP is great! The Boo to You parade is my favorite part. Make sure you get settled in so you can see the very begining. My kids did costumes both times we went to it, and they got hot very quickly. So my advice is if you do costumes...either wear something cool or have back up clothes to...

Must Watch Disney Movies Before WDW Trip

These are my 8 year old daughter's picks: Cinderella, Toy Story, Fantasia, Snow White, Finding Nemo.

    But what else is there??

It is about $189 a person and does require reservations. Since you have a tight budget it may be a little much for this trip, but something to save up and do on another vacation if it sounds fun to you.

Mustard or Ketchup on a hot dog?

My family has to have ketchup...and not just any ketchup, Hienz ketchup. My personal fav for a hot dog is, in this order: ketchup, mustard, onions, chili, sauerkraut. Now I am hungry.

Too much Alcohol in the parks!

I plan my entire day around my Dole Whip float....let's don't go giving anyone ideas! LOL!

Too much Alcohol in the parks!

I enjoyed a Pina CoLAVA at the AK Lodge. On my budget I only get one, but it is so yummy. (Bacardi Razz Rum blended with Pina Colada Mix and Raspberry Puree)

Too much Alcohol in the parks!

My intent was not to insult the OP, just to give my opinion. I think the insults were really started by the OP. If you read all of their posts on this thread, they didn't really want opinions, they wanted to preach and call people "drunks" and "alcoholics". The OP wants alcohol out of the parks...

    But what else is there??

Here are some suggestions: Keys to the Kingdom tour - highlights the fascinating history of Walt Disney World Resort and provides backstage access to secret areas of Magic Kingdom. Segway Tour - see the wonders of World Showcase while riding aboard a Segway. Animal Kingdom Wild Africa...

Too much Alcohol in the parks!

I guess the OP is worried all of us drunks don't know what VBS stands for. ;)

Too much Alcohol in the parks!

Do you think anyone who drinks is an alcholic? I'm not asking to be mean, I am just curious. There are Christians that drink and believe it is ok to drink. I also wonder if the alcohol bothers you this much, how do you avoid all of that awful "magic" in the park? What about the witches...

Too much Alcohol in the parks!

I believe Mr. Disney also said..."You're dead if you aim only for kids." He made it very clear that his parks are for FAMILIES. He wanted people to have a place to go and have fun with their kids...not just FOR the kids. I also believe Mr. Disney would enjoy a drink every now and then himself...

How Old Were You When The Parents Kicked The Stroller To The Curb

WOW! I am always amazed at how mean people can get on this forum. We all have our opinions, but there is no reason to call children (that you don't even know) riding in strollers LAZY. The "lazy children" don't purchase, rent, or bring the strollers....the parents do. Some children may not...

How Old Were You When The Parents Kicked The Stroller To The Curb

I think my youngest was in Kindergarten, so she must have been 5 when we stopped taking it. We had stopped using it at home a long before that. We were really worried how she would do without it, and she did fine. We never had a problem. If she got tired, we would carry her a little. I...
