    General WDW Planning for 11/9-11/18

We always go down at that time of year and love it. The crowds are generally light and the weather is comfortable. Another thing happening Nov 9-11 is the Festival of the Masters Art Show at Downtown Disney - West Side. There are about 200 artists from all over the country and all different...

Which Villa Resort has the best atmosphere?

I guess that it depends on what you want to do during your trip. We really like Saratoga Springs because of the setting and the convenience. When we go to WDW we always go for dinner at one of the resorts, so catching the buses from Downtown Disney is ideal - just a five minute walk from SS...

Going to WDW...looking for any great suggestions for eating on property

My husband and I always treat ourselves to nice dinners out when we are on vacation. You might want to consider Todd English's Bluezoo at the Dolphin. Interesting setting and menu. We always go to California Grill at the Contemporary Resort. If you can, try to schedule a reservation that...

    Disney Vacation Club Questions

My family joined DVC 11 years ago. My husband and I purchased our DVC membership about three years ago and we are really enjoying it. Through member services, you can book your airline tickets, car rental, rooms, park tickets and dining reservations. I don't believe that you can still qualify...

    WDW in November...

We have been going for the last eight years during this time. It is really nice because with the exception of the Super Soap Weekend at MGM, everything else is relatively uncrowded. Many of the holiday decorations are starting to appear during this time so it's a little sneak preview to get...

    weather in late nov

We always go in late November and the weather has been in the low 70s, but much cooler in the evenings. Make sure you bring a sweater or something if you plan to be out much at night.

Your first day At WALT DISNEY WORLD?

We usually arrive late morning, so we always head to Downtown Disney first. When we are sitting on the patio at Wolfgang Puck's overlooking the water, we know that we are finally on vacation. We take it easy the first day so we will be ready to go first thing in the morning. To keep our...

How long is the wait when you have an ADR

I would agree that the longest we usually ever wait with a reservation is about 5-10 minutes. The only exception has consistently been Jiko, where waiting 30 minutes or more has been the norm on our last three visits. California Grill used to be the same story until they started the downstairs...

Somebody tell me I'm not a freak...

My friends think that it is so strange that I want to go every year to "an amusement park". They just don't get it, but that's okay. It's my place to be a kid again and rejuvenate. The greatest gift is that my husband feels the same way. Makes it much easier that we can be "freaks" together.

    fastest way to DTD

I would suggest going out to the resort buses and taking the bus to Saratoga Springs. Downtown Disney is about a 5 minute walk from that resort. Get off at the Carriage House if you want to walk the bridge over to the West Side or get off at Congress Park to walk to the Marketplace. There are...

    Does your spouse love Disney?

My husband and I have been going to Disney together every year since our honeymoon there in 1995. For us, it is "our place". We know where everything is, we always feel comfortable and safe and most importantly, relaxed. We have our traditions, favorite places, etc., but the best part of all...

Assistance on Planning our 2007 Trip.

I would definitely vote for November. We have gone down in November almost every year for the last ten years. The weather is always comfortable and the crowds are always minimal. We try to go the week before Thanksgiving week so we still get to attend the Festival of the Masters Art Show in...

What at WDW Makes You Cry...

This last year was the first time we saw the Osborne Family Spectacle of Lights. My husband and I are really into Christmas and when the "snow" began to fall and music began to play, I knew that it was going to be good. But when all of the lights came on, I completely lost it. It was such a...

    California Grill

We make a point to go to the California Grill every trip. Great food and atmosphere. If you like beef, try the Filet with Tamarind BBQ Sauce. It sounds weird, but trust me it is amazing. If you like sushi, I think they have the best on property. Enjoy!
