    Jiko or California Grill

We recently dined at California Grill (May 7) and had a fantastic meal. The last time we were there was shortly after the refurb and we didn't have a good experience. I'm glad we gave it another chance because it was the best meal we had on property this trip. Artist Point was great too.

Is this really a service dog?

There is no such thing as a hypoallergenic dog. I am allergic to all dogs. Some of them do not shed and those do no cause my asthma to act up. Those same dogs have dander which causes me to break out in severe hives. I cannot let a dog lick me or touch anything they may have drooled on. I...

Have you ever come across an Alligator on your Disney trip?

Here is a picture of the alligator I saw one in the lagoon in front of the Beach Club Villas two years ago. It was there our entire stay.

I deas for 1day at HHI

My DH and I have been to HHI a few times. We didn't care for the Hilton Head Diner. There is a really good breakfast place called the Sunrise Cafe. You need a car to get there. Here is a copy of their menu. http://palmettobaysunrisecafe.com/full-menu/

Do I need a reservation for breakfast at Kona Cafe?

My DH and I never make ADRs for breakfast. We have dined at Kona numerous times for breakfast without ADRs. The longest we waited to be seated was 15 minutes. We are usually in WDW in early May which is not a very busy time. If you are going to be there during peak season then I would...

Yay! My DH and I dine there every trip. We have been there many times and have always had great meals and service.

    Congress Questions Next Gen

I agree with you 100%. I liked the days where my DH and I didn't have to decide what to eat 6 months in advance. In the past few years we have made less ADRs. We also used to add a meal plan to our reservation, but we have stopped doing that too. By making all of these changes Disney is...

    Congress Questions Next Gen

I understand the credit card company knows all of this information, but I am giving them permission to by using the credit card. i can also pay with cash which I do frequently. I don't want Disney tracking me throughout their property as I i find it invasive. I will still continue to travel...

    Congress Questions Next Gen

I don't want to be tracked throughout Disney property. Therefore, I will take it out to enter the parks and put it away. I don't plan on using the FP+ option and will most likely make purchases with my credit card or cash instead of my room key. I find all of this tracking an invasion of my...

    Congress Questions Next Gen

I plan on bringing a bag (EZPass bags work reasonably well) that I can put the magicband or card in which blocks the RFID info from getting out. I will only take the card or band out when I am entering the park or need to use it to enter a ride or pay for an item purchased. They also sell...

PHOTOS - First look inside the new Tutto Italia refurbishment and the new Tutto Gusto

My DH and I each had wine (they had a pretty good selection by the glass). We had a meat and cheese plate. It was $8 per choice or $14 for 3. Our first time at Tutto Gusto we ordered the $14 plate. We had Fontina, Parmigiano Regianno and Finocchionna (fennel and pepper flavored salame). We...

PHOTOS - First look inside the new Tutto Italia refurbishment and the new Tutto Gusto

We dined there twice during our trip 4/28 - 5/8. We will definitely make sure we visit Tutto Gusto on future trips to WDW. We loved the wine selection as well as the small plates. Here are some pictures of Tutto Gusto.

    Resort Mugs

I think those are the old mugs. The new mugs are white with either yellow, black, pink or blue tops. They have been out since last February.

    Illuminations Disappointment

I feel the same way. My DH and I were there a few nights during our stay and while we liked the fireworks portion of the show we think the globe is boring. I used to love Illuminations when they used lazers, fountains and the countries were involved.

    TDL keeping Captain Eo

I saw Captain EO when it first came out. I just saw it again at EPCOT and didn't care for it. Will probably not go back to see it again. There were only a handful of people in the theater and many walked out in the middle of the show.

Cancelled Dining plan and getting the DDE card

We did the same thing. Last trip did not book the DDP and used the DDE and it worked out to be cheaper for us. We are leaving for WDW next Wed. and didn't book the DDP instead we will use the DDE. The DDE is a much better value for us.

    Booked the California Grill

You can definitely add the basic or deluxe dining plan to your DVC reservation. We've done it many times. Your fiancee's Dad has to call to add the dining plan since only DVC members can call member services. Just remember neither plan includes gratuities. Once you decide you can call the...

What is your favorite disney park entertainment safety announcement?

The monorail announcement is my favorite too! I also used to like when the tram drivers (probably 20 years ago) used to say "Please take small children by the hair - I mean hand".

People Angry Over Disney Dinning Plan

Over the past 15+ years we have always used some sort of dining plan. 2008 will be the first time we will travel to WDW without the dining plan. We have the DDE and will use that instead. It actually worked out to be cheaper for us to use the DDE instead of the Deluxe Dining Plan.
