Do I need a reservation for breakfast at Kona Cafe?

I would book the ADR, but I would bet you could easily walk up and still be seated.

It used to be on the room service menu, too. Been over a year since I stayed there, though. Maybe over two years. Yeesh.

Kona is a toss up. Sometimes it is booked, other times its an easy walk-up.

Kona Cafe opens at 7:30AM for breakfast. My wife and I have never made an ADR for breakfast there and have always been seated when arriving shortly after they open. If you like sleeping in, then I would recommend making ADRs. By 8:30-9:00AM, the place is packed.

During our last visit in October 2012, I made ADR's while in the park (on my nifty little Disney app) for the next two mornings. We had no problem getting the times we wanted and this was during the F&W Festival. I suggest making ADR's for any restaurant you know you want to visit...why not??

My DH and I never make ADRs for breakfast. We have dined at Kona numerous times for breakfast without ADRs. The longest we waited to be seated was 15 minutes. We are usually in WDW in early May which is not a very busy time. If you are going to be there during peak season then I would suggest you make an ADR for Kona.
