It is too bad.. you would have liked it... Several trainers/Coordinators/old time drivers are still friends and I am planning on seeing most of them in a few weeks at the reunion on the 13th of October. I hope you can make it. To me though Peach will always be Purple and Teal is Pink... I know...

Goodbye, monorail drivers.......? Sorry if already posted.

Finally a real driver. Having trained drivers in both the IV and VI there are some pluses to both but automation has been slowing advancing for the past 20 years. The VIs announce MBS changes and tells the driver when to slow down, provides in detail description of any issue that may occur and...

Scariest memory in Walt Disney World?

My scariet memory at Disney was in August of 1993 when I working at the Magic Kingdom Monorail station doing crowd control. It was the last night of the summer and it was awfully hot and humid. While I was directing people to the Express Monorail line to TTC. I started to hear screaming and...

    Monorail

The colors are mearly an identifier and was used by drivers when they drive visually. (rarely ever done lately) Monorail Lime's colors however was a tribute to the monorsil drivers who old costumes were lime and blue (lime used to have a blue stripe) When they repainted the stripe white a few...

    Mark IV Monorail Pictures

Thanks fot the pics. I had alot of great memories in Red. Especially driving on Epcot beam it was quite fast for a 6 car train. The speedometer was such that when you went over 40 it would blink and went you hit over 45 it would go blank. We used to beat buses on the north south road. Scotty

    Monorail Fire (from the 80's)

Depends if there is smoke then power is killed immediately on that section of beam and reedy creek is dispatched to the train site. In addtion shop would plan on sending at least one work tractor so Monorail Central would be involved with deadheading all trains on that beam and if it is lagoon...

    Monorail Fire (from the 80's)

The rumor is correct there is a knotted rope found under the drivers seat that can be hooked near the hatch and the driver can repel down to the nose and hook the other end near the headlight. Never tried it and never would I would wait on the roof or in the cars until Reedy creak shows up. They...

    monorail?

Too bad... Matt was good real good. I can remember him doing the spiel live while he was driving and I was in back cab... Yes Matt was in Rails and the Monorail Managers went to him to do the spiel. Unreal he had the voice and was good fit after Jack Wagner passed away..

    monorail?

Since the advent of the Mark VI I believe the spiel besides the Digital Prerecorded component (door chime/Jack Wagner 'stand clear') has been recorded by Matt Hansen. I do not believe however, he did the current spiel....Tyler do you know???
