News Tiana's Bayou Adventure - latest details and construction progress

Somewhat unrelated but Disney seems to be pivoting a bit on their media strategy lately. As the Star Wars show The Acolyte comes out tomorrow, the show runner and KK went on offense and knocked a part of fandom that engages in bad faith attacks on the show, characters, actors, etc. I am sure...

News Tiana's Bayou Adventure - latest details and construction progress

From the business model perspective I wonder how the lightning lane sales will be for this attraction? I feel like part of the thing that helps pay for new attractions nowadays is the paid ILL. Since it’s new I anticipate it will be popular for a few months, or be sold out just on those...

Rumor D23 2024 WDW Rumors, Predictions & Discussion

I think it makes the most sense to do something with the Wonders of Life Pavilion at the moment. Taking SSE or Imagination offline puts pressure on existing rides. (When it rains for Test track and when the trackless ride at Ratatouille has its routine issue.) Also the WoL building hasn’t been...

Rumor Potential New Magic Kingdom Area Hotel

Disney is also concerned about how such a hotel will affect operations, I would think a hotel connected to a park would actually be better operationally. If there was a hotel connected to Epcot’s entrance for example, people staying at that hotel would obviously not need transportation to...

News Hall of Presidents Closing Briefly Mid-June 2024

I think they would want to avoid any sort of negative headline either way. Which totally axing the show might bring. I could see them gradually diminishing any sitting President’s influence on the show and eventually not even have them speak. I could also see them simply putting in a Muppet...

News Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser to permanently close this fall

That always got me about their surveys, I went to Disney a bunch when StarCruiser was open but on the post-visit surveys I got, they asked if I had booked a StarCruiser stay as well. And after saying no, I didn’t receive any other StarCruiser questions. Not even like a why not? Which boggles my...

    “Something major” coming to DHS???

When I originally raised the Frozen possibility coming to DHS I was more saying that they could do that or some sort of other princess equivalent. I just think that part of the IP mandate includes the popular princesses as those IPs are very profitable and DHS doesn’t have that much of a...

News 'Beyond Big Thunder Mountain' Blue Sky concept revealed for Magic Kingdom

I don’t think it will be a flop as they can simply announce projects, as if they are happening, then not do anything about them until they are either ready or quietly cancel them after a few years. Then they don’t have to face the boos and pretend like everything is zipadeedooda!

    “Something major” coming to DHS???

I feel like whatever major expansion they add to DHS will be geared more to kids. I still think there isn’t enough for young ones to do at that park. So I don’t think they would put villains there. Hate to say it but I could easily see them cloning the World of Frozen and just dump it where...

News New Polynesian Resort DVC villas building to open 2024

I think why this hotel specifically stings is because it takes away from the existing property. I am not sure how many people complained about Riviera’s existence because it didn’t replace anything or ruin much. But here it does. It also stings because we know what Disney is capable of and we...

News New Polynesian Resort DVC villas building to open 2024

I stayed at Poly a month ago and it was still not easy to get in there, so with added hotel capacity very close by, I worry about it. Yeah everyone in MK area can get there but it’s a little easier if it’s just a short walk away.

News New Polynesian Resort DVC villas building to open 2024

Is there any word on a bigger Trader Sam’s equivalent in this tower if there is no fun rooftop? Or are all those people going to flood the existing one in the Great Ceremonial House?

News New Polynesian Resort DVC villas building to open 2024

That is heartbreaking, they did build that for Riviera and I enjoy going up there when I stay there.

News New Polynesian Resort DVC villas building to open 2024

Yeah I mean I don’t want it to sell well because I don’t like the tower but not sure what price guests would be willing to pay for the non lagoon facing rooms compared to what Disney thinks they are willing to pay.

News New Polynesian Resort DVC villas building to open 2024

I don’t like the tower but if they have a tiki themed rooftop bar that would win some points with me

News New Polynesian Resort DVC villas building to open 2024

I’d wonder how big of a price difference is between lagoon view and parking lot view.

News New Polynesian Resort DVC villas building to open 2024

I don’t know if they will or not. It’s is a prime location, just not sure if the market they are targeting for this tower cares about the Marriott style of it.

News New Polynesian Resort DVC villas building to open 2024

If these rooms don’t sell, will they learn? I could be mistaken but I didn’t think Riviera sold as well as anticipated.
