Does changing the room type affect any booking offers?

Apologies, forgot to respond at the time. The “discount” is just a dining voucher which we get on arrival, and was available for all room categories when we booked.

Does changing the room type affect any booking offers?

Hello one and all! Probably a stupid question (they are my specialty), but does changing an existing hotel booking to a different room type impact any offers made when originally booked? For context; we’ve booked Contemporary for next September with the $150 per night gift card offer. If we...

Magic Kingdom short opening hours - worth it?

Thank you! We’ll probably look to rope drop then. We’re out there for about two weeks so no rush to see fireworks.

Magic Kingdom short opening hours - worth it?

Hi everyone, Flying over from the UK at the end of April for a trip originally scheduled for 2020 (no prizes for guessing why we cancelled). Currently we have park passes for MK on May 3rd. I see from the calendar that it will be closing at 16.30 that day, presumably the park is booked out...

How Many Days for You? Part 12

Possibly rescheduling for late April, so in that case it’d be 276 days. Assuming things are open by then. Sigh.

Guest jumps off Living with the Land boat to grab a cucumber

I don’t mean to sound rude to my American friends… but don’t you sell cucumbers in your grocery stores? Seems like buying one would be a lot less hassle. And about $100 cheaper than buying a ticket.

News Walt Disney World to End Temperature Checks

I’ve often wondered about these temperature checks and their accuracy. Admittedly, WDW might have better tech, but as an attempt to make us feel safe to head back to London and go to the office again, my employer has temperature checks. Every day I go in, my temperature is allegedly 31 Celsius...

Are parks busier in the morning or the evening?

Hi all, I appreciate that we might be getting into crystal ball territory as this is a few months off, but it’d be good to get an idea of what things are generally like. Myself and the missus will be travelling to Florida next September (assuming a travel corridor from the UK is open by then)...

Big air travel shake-up for UK visitors flying to Orlando

Admittedly I might be clutching at straws a little, but I disagree. With talk today of the vaccine rate in the UK going up to 4-5m a week and the USA doing pretty well too, I wouldn’t rule out a travel corridor opening up between the two. I’d be writing off anything in the first half of the...

Big air travel shake-up for UK visitors flying to Orlando

Flights to Florida booked for September. Originally meant to go last year but funnily enough couldn’t make it. Disney have extended our park tickets to Sept 26th so we can’t leave it any longer than that. Fingers crossed!

How Many Days for You? Part 12

224... in theory. We were meant to travel over from the UK in September 2020 but had to delay a year for obvious reasons. Can’t say I’m overly confident that we’ll be able to do it this year, but fingers crossed.

Walt Disney World Park Hours cut starting September 8 2020

Every day I become more glad that British Airways cancelled my flights to Miami in September. Ignoring the health concerns, it's an expensive old holiday to come over from the UK, particularly with such a reduced product. We're planning on September 2021 when (fingers crossed) things will...

Big air travel shake-up for UK visitors flying to Orlando

I see MCO's website says BA's Heathrow-Orlando flights are restarting on September 1st. Has that always been there or is it new? Wonder if this is MCO speculating or having some info about opening up...

News Disney Park Pass System announced for Walt Disney World theme park reservations

Booked reservations yesterday for September 8th-21st. All we need now is for Mr Trump to un-ban Europeans. I am not particularly hopeful...

    Splash Mountain re-theme announced

What with this being announced and Liverpool winning the Premier League, yesterday will go down as one of my personal worst days in history. Can't wait for pubs to open over here again.

News Disney Park Pass System announced for Walt Disney World theme park reservations

Hi everyone, sorry if this is has been answered further up in the thread but wading through 74 pages might take some time! We've got tickets booked through a UK travel company for September, though of course there's certainly no guarantee the holiday will happen this year given that borders may...

Universal Puts Disney's Reopening on Defensive

Thanks for the answer, good to get a clearer idea. Booked to fly over in September but considering moving it to September 2021 depending on how things go...

Universal Puts Disney's Reopening on Defensive

Has there been any indication of if/when the borders will be opened, particularly to Europe? I've not heard anything reported here (the UK) beyond talks about these "air bridges" to stop the need for a 14-day quarantine period, but nothing other than that.

News Walt Disney World's COVID-19 reopening plans announced - July 11

It'll be interesting to see how they deal with "reaching out" to those with tickets to sort out reservations as suggested earlier on in this thread. I might be missing something but I'm curious as to how this would work for someone in my situation; we're due to be coming from the UK in September...

Good news, seems quite sensible, not too soon and not too late.
