I just thought that the show scenes are likely longer to avoid Runaway Railway's big issue, that some of the later cars lag into a scene and exit it as soon as the enter it. These show scenes feel like they're compensating for that issue.

This is probably the best summation of what was great about the older rides. I think this is why I sometimes end up liking the queues of modern rides better than the rides themselves. There's a much more concerted effort in queues to not direct your attention to specific elements.

I'm just thinking we'll get three more dark rides of this quality in a couple years. EDIT: I think I'll reserve final judgment till I get on the ride one day. The effect of the ride vehicles and the music in concert might affect how people feel in a way that is impossible to be captured on...

I imagine Disney probably or will eventually pitch them Galaxy's Edge in that plot and Tokyo will say no; instead, they'll ask for some insane version of Tron with the Monorail going underneath it, a shooting ride with heavy integration of projection mapping, and a huge Blade Runner-esque...
