News Disney removing plastic straws and more by mid-2019

The comparison chart also made me stop and think, “Wait a minute. Where are we GETTING our plastic products from? Are we producing them here in the U.S.? Or are we buying them from those top three Asian countries in the chart? If those countries are the top MAKERS of the plastic products that...

News Sweet Spells to close for Toy Story store?

I grew up NEVER missing Disney’s Halloween Treat special, every Halloween. Dug the villains even as a kid, while everyone else was into Winnie or the princesses. I thought I was kinda weird for it! So it was a weirdly warm, vindicating feeling to witness this spot appear, you know? I CAN’T be...

News Sweet Spells to close for Toy Story store?

Chernabog! Yes! See, folks, where will the villain groupies get their kicks?! Same reason I’m bummed out the Disney Springs giganto store did away with the themed rooms, LOVED the villain room there, too! What was it, the jewelry/collectibles room?

News Sweet Spells to close for Toy Story store?

And I LIKE Nightmare Before Christmas crap. But OH! When that store first opened, devoted to the villains! I was in heaven when that store first appeared!

What’s Wrong With Disney World Restaurants...

THIS. I assumed they were placing massive orders all at once with particular distributors, then dispersing the ingredients to the restaurants, so it starts to feel like everyone is offering similar things at the same time. Wish it didn't have to be that way. Ever notice how Disney is always...

    Rips in Haunted Mansion paintings

Wow....just...wow, guys. Things can get snarky REALLY quickly on the forums, it's a little intimidating, to be honest. I found it interesting to know the paintings are capable of being damaged to that extent, for whatever that's worth.

Relatively quiet areas in the theme parks

THIS. A MILLION TIMES THIS. And someone earlier said the steamboat, I agree with that as well. Heck, the waiting area FOR the steamboat is a nice breather.

I think I might be done with WDW.

I took my parents 2 trips ago, my mother ended up needing a wheelchair for traveling around the parks, VERY traumatic for her. Miss Jazzercise used to OWN those walkways, NOTHING would slow her down, aging SUCKS.

I think I might be done with WDW.

I’m going to throw a psychological, left field two cents in here concerning the “magic”, nostalgia, quality, temperament, etc. VERY good points here with, well, just about ALL of you. The loss of vision, yep. The cost, ooh yeah. No argument. If I am completely honest, however, I’ve caught myself...

News Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

Oh man, I still call it MGM all the time! Same with Downtown Disney!

    Magic kingdom dining suggestions

I haven’t eaten there yet, but I was able to take a walk around the inside of the Skipper Canteen (big thank you to that hostess, she was a sweetie!). The ambiance was great, I think it’s a really handsome place! When I’m in Disney, the design plays almost as big a role as the food, at least for me.

What ride do you like that everyone else hates?

Astro Orbiters. No one in my family gets it, they won’t wait in the lines. They never seem to notice I only ride it at night, suspiciously timed around the fireworks. BOOM! Get it now, guys?!

Suite at AoA or Royal Room at POR

Another vote for AoA. Stayed in the Cars section last year, walk really not bad! The quiet pool there so cute, all songs playing over the speakers “road trip” themed, made me smile. And I forgot about the music playing underwater at the big pool! Trippy when I heard it!

    Appreciation Post

I HATE the Florida heat and humidity, so I LOVE that awesome moment when the sun starts to go down, and I start to perk back up and get that second wind. The parks that have the later closing hours any given day, THAT’s my jam. It’s just prettier at night, too! Can’t wait to see Pandora at...
