Good Afternoon,
I originally signed up to be a member of this WDW community so that I can fill the void of seperation when I am not in the happiest place on Earth. Whether its reading stories, recommendations, lists or seeing photos of updates, refurbs or food, it always puts a smile on my face. February 17th will be the 11th time that i return to what i truly consider my second home. I have been venturing to WDW since 1995, and i can honestly say that my earliest memory is sitting in a stroller, eating popcorn with my Mother while the rest of my family rode ToT. I am now 26 years old & have countless happy and fun memories at WDW. It seems that the more memories that are added, the more special this place becomes to me. I am venturing down to WDW this year with my girlfriend, our 3rd year in a row. Before we started dating, she had only visited once. Now, she also considers WDW her home away from home. So whats the point of this post, you may ask? Well, its become apparent to me that negativity has become common amongst opinions, wants, and needs when it comes to WDW. Do i enjoy waiting over an hour for a 5 minute ride? Ofcourse not. Do i enjoy encountering nasty people? Ofcourse not. Do i enjoy when mistakes or accidents happen on my trip? Ofcourse not. But when I’m in the happiest place on Earth, i make the most out of every second, because of everything this place has to offer. Every time I am in WDW, i feel truly blessed. Nothing is perfect, but to me, WDW is pretty close to it. So this an appreciation post to WDW. I appreciate the laughs, the joys, the moments, the events and everything this place has given me since I was 3 years old. WDW has always had my back, so I will always have theirs. Any moments, memories or joys that WDW has brought you, I would love to hear about them. Some of you may say im snorting pixie dust or drinking the Disney kool aid. If thats what you believe, so be it. I just want newer members of this community to know how truly great this place is.
