News Disney Park Pass System announced for Walt Disney World theme park reservations

It’s really quite incredible when you think about all the horrible decisions that were made post 2019. I know Chapek gets a lot of the blame (and rightfully so) but part of me wonders how this system that was universally unliked stayed in place even after Chapeks departure.

    4th Quarter Discounts?

Anyone have some insight as to when 4th quarter discounts will come out? It seems like the announcement is unusually late this year?

COVID testing requirement for air travelers arriving in the United States is set to end June 2022

The fact that the testing requirement lasted this long is just another indicator of how nonsensical these last years have been. Hopefully we all learned something from this.

News Splash Mountain retheme to Princess and the Frog - Tiana's Bayou Adventure

It’s a shame that the Imagineering masterpiece of Splash will be re-themed. Pardon me for being glass half empty but 2022 Disney Imagineering is a far cry from the 1980s-90s Imagineering. The brain drain is real.

EPCOT After 4 - When can I enter EPCOT?

The whole 2pm park hopping needs to go away… this was a COVID reaction and now it’s time to move on.

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

It’s science… political science that it. Johns Hopkins released their findings last week that mitigation measures were basically useless and now all the politicians are forced to end the charade. Music to my ears.

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

Let’s go back to July of 2020 and call out all the trolls that said “I can’t believe Disney is re-opening… this is so irresponsible.” Disney never should have closed to begin with...

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

I think it’s time we take a page from the UK’s playbook. No more COVID mandates and let’s just get on with our lives. If that makes you uncomfortable feel free to reside on your couch.

Lockdowns should never be on the table ever again. They don’t work and actually make the fight against COVID more difficult because you remove natural immunity from the equation.

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

A very unique mixture of lunacy, insanity, and nonsense in Europe. I’d argue that the policy decisions have been more damaging than the virus itself. On a side note… the US is preparing for the busiest holiday travel season in years. Once again, the US will continue to lead the post-COVID...

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

Jim Cramer said it best yesterday on CNBC: it’s time we stop tracking positive cases and start simply tracking hospitalizations and deaths. This “uptick” we are seeing doesn’t tell the whole story as hospitalizations and deaths continues to remain low (outside of a few pockets).

In a workplace setting that makes total sense. However, don’t forget that those traveling to the US require a negative test to enter. IMO this is going to be almost impossible to navigate with the inaccuracy of the PCRs.

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

I think this COVID situation is about to get MUCH worse in a couple months. Why you ask? It has very little to do with the virus itself and everything to do with the fact that our testing can be very misleading. Let me paint this picture… beginning January 4th the mandatory vaccination program...

If you could create or expand a transportation network on property..

I feel like the Skyliner was a neat idea but the execution and practicality were severely lacking. Why on earth would you build a transport system that can’t run during thunderstorms in central FL? Also, it bothers me that the track/path makes zero logistical sense. But I digress… my idea for a...

This is absolute lunacy. “Zero COVID” is impossible to attain and is a fools mission. Thank our lucky stars that we don’t have to deal with this nonsense in China.

News Disney mask policy at Walt Disney World theme parks

Simple solution: make masks optional! If you feel like you need the protection of a mask then wear it. You don’t need a Disney policy to wear a mask if that’s what you want to do. Personally, I won’t be wearing a mask but I won’t fault anyone that chooses to do so.

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

I applaud the UK leaders for making the right decision and not implementing further restrictions. Yes, cases are rising but when you look further at the data: 1) vast majority of cases are occurring in those over 70 and the unvaccinated. 2) cases requiring hospitalization are almost non...
