This is what I have decided to do for this trip. Last trip (early September) I noticed that I could have saved ~30 if I had waited to buy my ticket. Not a ton, but it still aggravated me. I turned off all price alerts for my dates now that I've bought my ticket.

I appreciate the response. I went ahead and bought my ticket in the main cabin. It’s more than I wanted to pay, but I did it for my sanity as you say. I got the times I wanted and was able to pick my seats. Hopefully allowing me to have enough time to make my one tight Atlanta connection.
