Not saying I like this, but it sort of makes sense to me. I had been wondering how they were going to attempt to transition between Fantasyland to Villains and from the American desert to Villains, and had assumed that it would be through a scary/haunted forest. So, turning Frontierland into a...

Well, seeing as how the Disney's own numbers are saying that the customers are not finding value, and the fact that DIS is down ~35% over the last 5 years, I'd say they're failing miserably at both...

Same. Also, the app didn't (doesn't still?) save gift cards, which is what we use to pay for the trip (since we save $5 for every $100 thru Target). Not a huge deal, but just more screentime that I didn't want to deal with.

I'm not against mobile order, at least in theory. Actually, when they first rolled it out, we were one of the few who utilized it. However, the two times we've gone since COVID, there always seems to be an issue/glitch, and the pickup area is nightmare fuel with all the hangry, entitled people...

Micromanage is probably the wrong word, but @LSLS pretty much hit the nail on the head. Maybe the new structure of LL will help alleviate some of it, but the Genie+/LL setup had a lot to do with it. It still felt like it required a lot of preplanning/strategy, but without any sort of guarantee...

I'm a Project Manager by trade, with OCD to boot, so I personally liked a little pre-planning and spreadsheeting. It wasn't much, but I felt like having some sort of plan 60-days out allowed us to put our brains on cruise-control once we checked into our flight and dropped the luggage off.

I think the best way that I can put it, at least for myself and my wife, is that WDW trips cause way more anxiety now than they ever had. Almost to the point where we experience more anxiety than we do enjoyment. Disney World was our anti-anxiety medicine that allowed us to escape the real world...

Poll: For those who curbed visits or stopped visiting Disney Parks, what are your top reasons?

Pre-COVID, my two obsessions were College Football and Disney Parks. Now, I've essentially lost all of the passion that I held for both, and it's mostly due to the fact that those in charge either don't understand the product (at best) or flat out loathe me and my peasant family (at worst)...

The more the years pass, the more the "wheeling and dealing" of those deals looks like a college kid running up their parents' credit card. Iger was always rumored to be eyeing a political career. That makes so much sense. He'd be perfect as a politician. He lacks the ability to create...

Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

I'm an early bird, so the 7am didn't bother me in theory. However, even though I'm up by 6am, I'm usually walking the grounds with a coffee after a little toke. Not trying to plan my family's perfect day.

No, but I did sit through the 6-4 Iowa v. Penn State game, where Iowa took two safeties, since they were more afraid of our defense scoring on them than our offense...
