Rumor New DAS System at Walt Disney World 2024

This has been the policy at least for the past year. My mom got DAS last summer due to her vertigo and we had all her documentation ready for the interview because were terrified they would think she was lying and ban us for life! (they never asked for documentation and didn't even ask for any...

    Dessert Party or After Hours?

After hours! Dessert parties are a money grab. Nothing worth what you pay for them. After hours at a park you love with rides you want to do over and over is definitely worth it. (FTR, I don't think after hours events at Epcot are worth it but yes for HS)

Trip Report The "Crayons" Take WDW: A Halloween Party Weekend Adventure

I'm back to finish up this report! Better late than never! Day 3 - the last day! We had a late flight out that night, so we had plenty of time to do fun things during the day. First, we had to finish giving out our pixie dusts, which we had been sprinkling throughout the parks, so we hung...

Do Disney Store employees get discounts at WDW?

ZOMBIE THREAD ALERT! Sorry to be bumping this 8 years later but I know a lot of things have changed since 2015. Does anyone know if Disney Store employees still get WDW perks? We only have one left in NYC (and it's the most famous one in Times Square) and I'm wondering what those CMs get (are...

EPCOT's Mission SPACE set to undergo exterior refresh

Can they refresh the interior too? As in, replace it with a new ride?? Rode it last month for the first time since 2003. Made me remember why I waited 20 years to do it twice.

Trip Report The "Crayons" Take WDW: A Halloween Party Weekend Adventure

Day 2 Part 2! Once we got into Epcot via the International Gateway, we high-tailed it over to Imagination for the Figment meet and greet. Having just done 2 days at Epcot a month prior, we had really ridden everything multiple times, so there were only two things we had to do this trip - meet...

Trip Report The "Crayons" Take WDW: A Halloween Party Weekend Adventure

Day 2 Part 1! On very little sleep, I woke up at 6:45 to be ready to snag our LL's for our park hoping day of HS and Epcot. At 7:00 I refreshed my screen, tried to book my first LL and......it told me "something's wrong, try again later." What?! I started a bit of a panic because our park...

Trip Report The "Crayons" Take WDW: A Halloween Party Weekend Adventure

Day 1 Part 2! Once we were ready for the party, we made our way over to MK on a relatively empty bus, and arrived to a HUGE line. We got there at 3:45 because we knew we did not want to go see Jack and Sally, and we didn’t want to stand in the sun for hours. We’ve done that in years past...

Question out of total boredom at work but...

I know Living with the Land is not the best ride BUT I have to ride it and I'm interested every time. But my favorite "ride" is Tower of Terror.

News TRON Lightcycle Run Virtual Queue and Lighting Lane status

This is so cool to see, thanks for sharing. I got my VQ at 6:00 on the dot this day, and was in BG 107. We could not believe how early we got called back and it was a walk-on when we got there. They were literally sending rides out half full because no one was there. I think everyone was...

Trip Report The "Crayons" Take WDW: A Halloween Party Weekend Adventure

Thanks everyone for following along! Ok, so this was SUCH a whirlwind trip that I am going to break each day into part 1 and part 2. We did so much in three days we couldn't even believe it ourselves lol. So, let's begin! Day 1 Part 1! We flew in late on a Thursday evening, which is unusual...

News Soarin' Over California returning to EPCOT for a limited time

Yes, that's what my kids said (10 and 13 years old). They have spent a lot of time in California bc we have family there, so they were excited to see it for that reason but other than that they said they were basically the same. They just liked the transitions better in SATW which is why they...

News Soarin' Over California returning to EPCOT for a limited time

Just saw SOC this weekend. My kids have seen SATW dozens of times, this was their first time seeing SOC. Their takeaways - the smells were much better (more of them, and they were stronger), but the lack of transitions were jarring and they like SATW better. So I guess they are the minority...
