Rumor Frontierland Shootin' arcade to close and replaced with DVC Member lounge

We only went the past few times since the rumor was floated it would close and it was something nostalgic. My teen DD loved it and is a heck of a good shot. Would I have been willing to put quarters in it? No. Were we typically alone in the gallery? Yes. Did I stand there and think about the...

Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

Ooooof. Once again, you have to plan. plan. plan. We park hop but sometimes things change and the thought of this makes me want to buy it less or only buy for the second park. I don't know how rookies plan a Disney vacation anymore. I can barely keep up and we go often.

News Expanded Lightning Lane entry process testing at Haunted Mansion

And those people who are usually clogging the lane get indignant about people passing them (as if a family or two is going to make a difference while they block the lane). Agree with others. Free MBs made this simpler, watching people stumble with their phone slows everything down.

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2022

Such a great point. See something sell out and you don’t want to be left out in the Florida cold. I figured the first night would sell out first.

News New Polynesian Resort DVC villas building to open 2024

And DVC often locks in return guests for years to come. If you talk with a lot of DVC owners (myself included, you go far more often. We tend to drop less money since we often return so often and we aren't the "dream vacation we saved for years" crowd that Dis really loves but we keep coming...

The math has to be wrong

If you are looking for a studio at BCV in early March, there is not much availability at all (I just looked). Many of those sites show the cost but availability and owner with points to book is a different story. A confirmed reservation is also different. Many folks will continue to cancel b/c...

News Disney's Magical Express to end after 2021

I look how fast this forum has exploded. I doubt it will do any good but what if we all start complaining?

News Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom closing Jan 24th 2021

Bummer. It was one of the few FREE things you could do. As an AP (and not local) it was something we enjoyed doing since we collected new cards with new trips. We also loved getting special holiday party cards. I can see how it would cause issues with the lines. I won't miss bringing the damn...

DVC perks on DCL...how do I let them know I am a member?

    Any newer experiences on this?

    Stupid Magic Band Tricks.

I am also convinced the people that complain about the tracking also have an EZPass in their car, have eight different “shopper cards” on their key ring and enjoy and sign-up for discounts from stores with their phone number. Don’t think the grocery store is selling your information so you can...

    which line at rope drop?

A few thoughts: 1. People always fill in the center and often times the sides can have less people. 2. I agree with everything Tom says. 3. Large tour groups can also really slow the line down since they are all trying to get in together, talking to each other and have to wait till...

    Magic Kingdom rope drop

We do rope drop as often as possible. The show typically starts 15 minutes before the park opens. The show lasts about 8 or so minutes. It is always 15 minutes to the park opening. If it is EMH it is 15 prior to that, they do not repeat the show for later. If you aren't on property you...

    Arrival day tips??

I will also add, in your case if you do FP+ wishes, I don’t think you are wasting a FastPass. As good suggestion for full days, you don’t want to tie one up for the entire day. In your case you will be there later. The nice thing about the guaranteed area is not fighting and sitting an hour...

    Arrival day tips??

I would say the biggest thing to consider about the first day is does your passes/tickets cover it. We have annual passes so there is no additional expense (or pressure to do a park our first day). If you don’t mind the expense of the first day, I say by all means do it. We have AP’s and...

Meeting Anna and Elsa at MK

We have done both rope drop and FP. The times overall for A&E are getting slightly better and certainly not the 5 hours when they first arrived in Epcot. Having done rope drop to see them twice, these are my tips and are by in no way guarantees. Don't have a stroller of any kind with you...it...

If you use a fast pass at a ride how long do you really wait?

As someone pointed out, the system won't let you overlap. I have found this past year, the FP waits are fairly short. Your best bet is to make the FP selection, once you are off the ride, try to shift the times of your upcoming FP to maximize your time. Of course sometimes they aren't available.

How long is the memory maker good for?

Here is the interesting thing, your images are good for 45 days and you can capture them up to 30 days after your first download. You can occasionally get two trips if you time it right and go often. It all starts when they scan your magic band for your first shot.

    Too crowded!!

I would agree with the poster who suggested that Disney has learned with dining promotions/sales, events and incentives they can maximize the gate year around. It is like the middle seat on a plane, we all love when it is empty for our comfort but it is not reasonable for the airlines to...
