It just crossed my mind........I cant stay at POP till I am ready to check in at POR, I have a family of 5. I may try the Hampton Inn then and see how that goes. I really dont want to spend the extra money and get a suite at ASM.

I thought about staying at POP for the first week then moving over to POR when we check in and get our tickets. My wife and kids love DTD and want to stay close to that. Any other suggestions on where to stay????

I always get up a 3 a.m. and hop in the hot tub a just think about how exciting its going to be when we get there. We usally fly out around 6 or 7 a.m. but this year we are driving down.......it has been a lot of fun thinking of all the things were going to do on the way down there, may be a...

We had our Honeymoon in WDW too! Stayed at All Star Sports, it was my wifes first time in WDW and she was hooked. We have returned every year since. Cant wait till Aug. 19, we leave for POR!!!!!!

I always had more yellow tags then I needed. Depending on how much you pack, you should have enough left over for the other person.

I will have to make a point to see this in AUG. I have never seen this before.

I too couldnt belive what it cost to fly this year!!! Were going to drive down this year and even with gas the way it is, it will still be a lot cheaper.

My wife and I stayed at All Star Sports in late Sept. for our honeymoon....our family is really into sports so I thought she would like it. Anyway, the weather was great. I couldnt belive how light the crowds were. You will enjoy it.

The first year we took my daughter she didnt have contacts and thought WDW was great.......the next year we found out she needed contacts and when we went back to WDW she couldnt belive everything she missed!!!! :ROFLOL:

Any advice on places to stop or stay for the night? When I was a kid we would stop at south of the border, but my cousins say dont wast your time....its not like it used to be.

Thanx, was checking out the Garmin as we speak and it shows directions for POR!! I just hope its right. Im going to take your way but use the Garmin also. As far as staying up late, I work the night shift, 3 a.m. is my prime time!!! Thanx for all your help! -JOHN

I have a garmin, but am still new at it. I would hate to have it take me off course (especially with my wife in the car). I was thinking about leaving around 9 p.m. to try to avoid as much traffic as possible. Thanx for all your advice!!

Did a search and found nothing........We usally fly but are going to drive down this year. The kids are very excited to drive. We are leaving from Syracuse NY and would like to leave AUG. 21 and arrive on AUG. 23. Any help on best route to take, stops along the way, ect. would be greatly...
