    Questions about the Beach Club

Sounds like a perfect place for you and your family. Wife and I just got back from Beach Club. We went just for the resort as we are doing the parks with the kids in August (ages 3,6,9). We were so close to Epcot that I was tempted to spring for a ticket to spend the day even though we told...

    4th of July fireworks

Two years ago, we saw the Magic Kingdom version on July 3rd (Our 10th Wedding Anniversary) and then Epcot's on the 4th. Would do that again if given the opportunity. I think I enjoyed the MK show more. We stood in front of the Castle near Walt and Mickey. They had Red, White and Blue lights...

    August 2011 Roll Calls

Family headed to POR 8/21-8/29. Did July with just the kids and wife last time, so we are prepared for the heat. Grandparents going this time, so maybe not. 96 days, too long, but don't want to wish away the rest of the spring and the whole summer.

    Rebooked Trip w/ free dining

Today is my 100 days-to-go Day! Double Digits tomorrow! I keep joking with my family that we are have a 100 days-to-go! Party. Whoo-hooo! If you count today, its 99 days til we are there. (BUT I don't want to wish the whole summer away)

    On-line check-in down at midnight on 4-19/4-20???

Yes, I tried to use it yesterday and was unsuccessful and figured I was outside of the 10 days (I check in a week from Friday). I'll try again now.

    Dine in Parks w/o Tix?

Thanks, I figured that, but I didn't see it stated anywhere on the Dining Sites via WaltDisneyWorld.com and I didn't want to limit my choices. Doesn't hurt to ask. Figured staying so close to Epcot and having a chance to eat in "The World" without my kids, I could step outside and explore the...

    Dine in Parks w/o Tix?

Sorry if this has been addressed before, a quick search yielded no results, but can you make an ADR and Dine in a restaurant in a park like Le Cellier without park tickets? My wife and I are staying at Beach Club and were contemplating ADR's and wanted to know if any of the in-park dining...

    How's my plan so far?

We'll be there many of the same days as you and your crew (21-29) but the closest we come to the same restaurants is Crystal Palace day - you for lunch, us for dinner. Looking forward to it like you wouldn't believe! Another 6 inches of snow here last night. I dream of Florida in August!

What is the best age to take Grandson?

Not to change the original subject but to comment on the above, our first trip with 2.5 and 5 year olds, the first two rides we hit were peter pan and snow white. They practically cried the whole time, first because it was dark in PP and then because it was not only dark but scary in snow...

What is the best age to take Grandson?

Good point about the Expansion. We took our 2.5 year old and it was great for her. Very magical as she was blown away with the characters. We are taking a 3 year old this summer as well. But our first trip, our oldest was 5 and our second trip, that 2.5 year old was 5. They were both still...

Its the Little Things that make you really love WDW

So many things, but when staying on property (we've only done mods) the feeling that you are always at the parks even when just walking back to your room! And as others said, the smile of my kids from ear to ear! Can't wait til my son sees Mickey for the first time this August (tearing up now)!

    Which Moderate?

We stayed at PORS and CB and of the two, we prefer RS. The overall theme has us hooked as we are booked for there again in the summer. I am intrigued by the smaller size and convenience of POFQ but I am not in love with the theming like I am at RS. Don't think you can go wrong with either! -...

    August Crowd Levels?

8/21-8/29 For all of the above reasons. Will be traveling with a 3 year old so I anticipate some mid-afternoon chill time in the pool. The anticipated lower crowds will allow us to maximize the time we are in the parks and the pool time will allow some relaxation and battery recharge time...

    great grocery delivery service

Not sure what latest delivery is, probably says on the website, but as stated above, it can be left with the bell services and picked up at your leisure. Definitely worth the 12 bucks as you don't spend in the parks and you don't waste time shopping for groceries during your vacation. Will be...

    Week after Thanksgiving

Our first trip was the same week in '07. It lived up to the rumor as one of the least busy times of the year. Lines were very short if any. We walked right on Pirates and MANY others. Longest wait of the trip was probably 20 minutes for Big Thunder. Parade taping day was crowded around the...

    August crowds

We've booked the 20th-28th! I heard the same as above, hot, but smaller crowds as many schools in the south are back in session. We went in July and that was about as hot as the end of August is supposed to be and we survived with daily trips to the pools as rpk4444 stated above. See you there!

    Port Orleans - Riverside

Does anyone know if Magnolia Terrace is a preferred rate or upcharge because it is close to the bus?

    June/July

Two summers ago we were there on the 3rd and 4th (and beyond). I still can't believe the experience. We went fearing the heat and crowds as I had read about how busy it would be. I guess the economy saved us because aside from the crowd around the castle to watch the fireworks on the third...

    Disney Visa Card Points

We usually wait until the bill needs to be paid and cash all of the points towards the price of the trip. As it will be more than two years since the last trip, it will knock a nice chunck off of the bottom line. I love that!
