Too early for Oct/Nov roll call ??

We'll be there 23/9 to 7/10. 7th trip for us. First time at The Beach Club and second time at MNSSHP - hopefully we'll be dressing up this time! Also our first time on DDP! We're heading out there for DH's 30th birthday.:sohappy:

    Gaston's Tavern

Am I the only person who didn't like Butterbeer? We spent $10+ on the drink and souvenir mug, took a sip, scraped all the sickening froth off the top, took another sip and dumped it in the bin! :hurl: We kept the mug though!

LOL another guest vs character misconduct

It doesn't only happen at Disney! I had my picture taken at Universal with Alex the lion and the penguins from Madagascar and as I began to walk away, Alex patted me on the bottom! It did take me by surprise but mostly I found it hilarious. We still talk about it now, years later, and...

Orlando Thrill Park unveils 14 rides

As a "normal" UK tourist, I can honestly say that my DH and I are VERY interested in this! We visit Florida every year and whilst we love Disney the most, we can't resist the attraction of the "big" rides at IOA and, in particular, Busch Gardens. I can see UK tourists flooding to this place...

    Wilderness lodge or Beach Club

I’m planning our annual pilgrimage to the world in October 2011, this time it’s by husbands thirtieth birthday so we are planning to treat ourselves a little more than usual. What are your suggestions between the wilderness lodge and the beach club. We stayed at the wilderness lodge for our...

    The Potter Affect......

We've just come back () and made a point of seeing WWOHP although it didn't change our plans in anyway. We always do 2 days at Universal and just drive over from Disney. Personally, I thought the ride was fab but was more than a little disappointed with the rest of it. The shops are too...

    Msep

We saw MSEP for the first time last week (just back from a 2 week stay on site - horrible withdrawal symptoms!). I bopped around to the music but I missed singing along to Spectro. And although I loved the floats, I did wonder how many of the kids would be familiar with them, particularly...

    Best MNSSHP Experience???

I've only been the once but for me it was the parade. Especially the men with the spades. And the Headless Horseman! Soooo cool! And, of course, the HitchHiking Ghosts....too many things to name. I wanted to stand and watch it go round the second time but the rest of my party said no

    Spectro-Magic

DH are flying out to WDW on Friday for a couple of weeks and it will be the first time either of us have seen MSEP. I am an avid Spectro fan (it being the only light parade I have ever seen) but I have had the MSEP music on CD for years. And it really annoys me. Having said that, I have...

    Getting a Tan for Vacation

Not sure about in the US, but over the pond we have daily body moisturisers with "a hint of sunless tanner" that builds up a tan gradually. I use them quite a lot and they give your skin a lovely golden glow. They usually offer different levels of tanning too.

Disney Ducks- Do they annoy you?

I've never had a problem with the ducks. The squirrels, however, are a different story. Especially at McDs at DtD. We were sitting outside once and I was getting more and more annoyed with this woman who was encouraging her little girl to feed a squirrel that was hanging around. Well, the...

Best sounding/recognizable voice at the parks......

For me, the most Disney-fied voice will always be Jiminy Cricket. I get goosebumps every time I hear him, usually because he is announcing the start of Wishes or Spectro! You just can't beat the Cricket!:D

My favorite part of ToT is...

I love the clunk as the elevator fits into the shaft and you are just sat waiting for a second to see if you are going up or down. No matter how many times I ride it, it gets my heart racing every time!

Could there be no MNSSHP this year?

We've booked a whole 2-week trip in October just so we can attend MNSSHP. We did it last year but because we were part of a bigger party and 2 of our party only came to Disney during MNSSHP, the evening was very ride focused instead of being about the Halloween highlights. I am determined...

    Favorite scene from Phillarmagic is....

For me, it will always be the Aladdin scene. A Whole New World is the ultimate in romance for me and is one of my absolute favourite Disney songs. Also, I love it when you are flying along behind Disney. If I'mreally concentrating on the film, I usually feel like I'm on a magic carpet too...

What is the strangest thing another guest has asked you in the parks?

:ROFLOL::ROFLOL::ROFLOL: I love it! That would be my answer down to a T, complete with full on, Northern accent! And living down South, I get a lot of stick for my accent!

    Alice in Wonderland

I am so glad someone else heard Jack Sparrow in there! Was starting to think I had dreamt it! I loved the film, absolutely adored it. My sister, however, hated it. She said the Mad Hatter was being overly quirky just for the sake of it, Alice looked like she was ill and just couldn't be...

Walt Disney World Quote(s) of the Day

One of the only opening speeches that never fails to give me goosebumps: "Welcome to Fantasmic. Tonight our friend and host, Mickey Mouse, uses his vivid imagination to create magical imagery for all to enjoy. Nothing is more wonderful than the imagination for in a moment you can experience...

    Kim possible:

You go to the KP stations, put your ticket in and your given a pass telling you to go to the secret station at a certain time. My DH and I don't have kids and we do this every time we go. We've a couple of them twice and were amazed to find that they weren't even the same! It really is fun...

    Fantasia Gardens Mini-Golf??

I love Fantasia Gardens Mini Golf. It is my favourite mini golf and a must do at least twice every trip. However, I have never played Fantasia Fairways as it is just a bit too much like actual golf for me.:o
