    Connection time

So I'm just back from my trip. Both ways I had flight delays, so any connection time shorter than 2 hours would have been a problem. Very glad I booked the longer connections! Thanks for your advice!

    Connection time

I'm wondering, how short of a connection are most of you comfortable with having? I see many from my home airport to and from Orlando with 45 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours. Does it depend mostly on the connecting airport? How many are in your travel group? How close the connecting airport is to...

    Different style rooms

Disney can't build rooms to suit everyone. I really see no point in what the OP wants. Why not get 2 rooms? Or a DVC unit? Sounds like the OP wants some hybrid of the 2. How many people do you think would spend time hanging out in the living room? Gotta build for the masses.

    Resort parking - overnight guests

And I could go to the store and stuff candy in my pockets and probably not get caught. Doesn't make it the right thing to do.

    Parking at Swan and Dolphin

There are signs up that the resorts parking lots are not for theme park access. You can shop and eat, but if you then wish to go to a park you need to move your car to that parks lot. Or pay to valet if it is available.

Disney hotels are becomes less themed and more generic. Why?

This year rates started at $224 and went up from there.

    They can't be serious

Not really. Do those people want a Disney vacation or a Universal vacation? They are different things and I don't think cost pushes a family from one to the other. I pay more than $130 for 2 star motels in some of the tourist towns I like to visit.

    Halloween party or dessert party?

If you had to pick between the 2, the Halloween party or the Star Wars dessert party, which would you do and why? I'm torn--have never done a dessert party so would like to try that. Have done the Halloween party before and love it. My struggle is in the cost $109 for a party ticket seems a...

So what does it look like to you?

I'm an on site kind of gal. I like being in the bubble and not having to worry about the outside world for a while.

    Southwest Boarding Group/Check-In Questions (UPDATED)

I pay for Early Bird, as I don't want the stress worrying about if I will be able to sit with my family. Only you can say if the cost is worth it for you.

Preferred room at Coronado Springs or a standard?

I like standard, and then ask for building #4. Which puts you close to both the main area and the first bus stop picked up on the way to the parks.

Do these restaurants take Disney gift cards?

I like to use Disney gift cards as a way to budget my trip. I just noticed that for my next trip we are eating at a lot of non-Disney restaurants. Could someone tell me if the following restaurants take Disney gift cards? Ale and Compass Garden Grove The Bon Voyage Breakfast Fresh Thanks so...

    Magical Express

For what my opinion is worth, it is not wise to have no carry on at all. What if the airline loses your luggage? Not to mention, if you have any meds you need they should go with you onto the aircraft. Never into checked luggage. And the same goes for anything of value.

Disney slowly losing some of what made it special.

Many of the Disney Springs resorts charge fees on top of the basic room charge. It may not be labeled a parking fee, but it may as well be. Sure, they can call it a fee for transportation and water, but at $34 a night (which is what the B resort charges) I better be drinking that water and...

    Behavioral U-Turn Needed.. Quickly

This. I have to admit, it does make a bit crazy when some posters go on and on about offering women a seat on a bus. If you wish to be nice, offer your seat to whoever may need it, man or woman. Unfortunately as age does it's number on me, there are days where I can't stand on a bus, and...
