News Did I miss a memo? Since when does Disney make "rides" rather than "attractions"?

I remember that old riddle as well. I also remember when Disneyland used to boast "over 50 rides and attractions".

I can't seem to find it on my calendar. When are we scheduled to retire the word "Foodie"?

Way back machine - DCA's Eureka! parade & initial offerings

That was the first DCA location I ever ate at (at a preview night). As I recall, their seating areas were also decorated in the four different styles, which I appreciated.

    The Miscellaneous Thought Thread

A: You're not alone. B: Related news - "Spinal Tap" sequel wraps up filming in New Orleans. C: I knew an older lady that used to work the front ticket booths back in the mid 80's. She once told me she sold admission tickets to Jamie Lee Curtis. She then whispered this inside info: "Her credit...

News Space Mountain and Disneyland Railroad closing for refurbishment in early August 2024

I guess that's what we get for having so many rides and attractions.

News New Haunted Mansion Grounds Expansion, Retail Shop Coming to Disneyland Resort in 2024

When was the last time you walked straight from the stretching room to doom buggy boarding. Were they releasing empty vehicles ahead of you? That could possibly happen if they're only running one stretching room, but even then it's unlikely. It's more likely that at any given time Haunted...

Eh, I want to say I disagree with this. (I'll try to elaborate after some coffee.)

    Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree

Yes. I believe it was Big Al putting with his guitar. This nimble fella was there as well: I seem to remember an old baseball game as well, but I can't recall if it was bear themed. They definitely had the sister to the Penny Arcade "Electricity is Life" shocker machine. (I remember that...

    Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree

That was a great place to grab a late night hot chocolate during those after-hours corporate events. Followed up with a few of those clunky awesome games at the adjacent Teddi Barra's Swingin' Arcade.

Avengers Campus: E-Watch! (Waiting on the new ride)

Not my post, but the implication is that DLR is better off having it than not having it.

New Tomorrowland @ Disneyland? Is this the year it finally gets announced? No, and that’s OK

Maybe they could dress up one of these: ;) Whatever it takes to get Astro Orbiter out of the Tomorrowland entrance.

Would You Take a Bullet Train from Anaheim to Las Vegas?... Brightline West

Back when I was flying to Dulles once a month, and JetBlue had yet to abandon Long Beach, that was my favorite non-stop route. PS: I'll admit to being old enough to have flown out of SNA when it looked more like this: (Like Long Beach, no jetways.)

Would You Take a Bullet Train from Anaheim to Las Vegas?... Brightline West

They seem to employ the kinder, gentler version of SNA's strict policy.

Would You Take a Bullet Train from Anaheim to Las Vegas?... Brightline West

BTW, this is a pretty good overview of the project. It's from 2022, but I believe most of what he presents remains unchanged. And this guy did a pretty impressive rendering based on what he knew at the time. Enjoy.

New Tomorrowland @ Disneyland? Is this the year it finally gets announced? No, and that’s OK

I agree with those of you that consider the murals lost art, that doesn't necessarily have a proper place in a "New Tomorrowland". (And don't make me quote Indiana Jones.) Perhaps it could be disassembled and shipped up to Sacramento to join its younger friend from DCA? (Or even put on the...
