    Cash-Strapped Disney

Well, one for example is that particular figures on Peter Pan are going to be removed. I haven't heard that Tiki Room is receiving changes in the near-term, and Country Bears is unlikely to be altered with Splash Mountain going down in (likely) 2023... they'll need something to eat crowds in...

    Cash-Strapped Disney

Before responding, let me say that it was a very pleasant surprise to log in today and see a flurry of activity in regards to this thread. I think you are skeptical about the OLC and Disney relations being more strained than usual. For evidence of that, look no further than Splash Mountain not...

    Construction between Contemporary and TTC

My understanding is it's not suitable for large scale construction without cost prohibitive investment in the foundations. As Martin has said, it's the prime spot if they could make it happen.

FastPass+ Most Certainly Not Coming Back As It Was

I suppose I can say unequivocally that I am opposed to charging a premium for a previously free service that simultaneously will reduce the enjoyment of lower income guests.

Disney offering up to $1000 sign on bonuses

That's likely to change soon, and big price increases appear to be on the way in 2022.

Disney offering up to $1000 sign on bonuses

100% correct. Well said! Also note that these wage increases are resulting in a cyclical feedback loop with inflation, which will (and is) making higher product prices for WDW.

Too much free time, too little meaning, and online ego sprinkled in.

News Magic Kingdom and Epcot Fireworks to Resume July 1st

As I've covered, and subsequently been maligned for without merit, Disney has been been doing testing mostly using fuses (i.e. shells without pyro effects), but there have been some real fireworks around 3 AM. Also, what we've been hearing is that August is the target date. July might happen...

    Party Season 2021

It most certainly did not come from rumors on this forum. And, as far we know from our source, it is accurate.

    Lightsaber?

I've written extensively about how the lightsaber experience works. You should check it out. Twirling when extended? Carefully, yes. Making contact with something? Bad idea.

    Lightsaber?

It's just an LED strip that rolls out with a flexible plastic enclosure. That's it. Heck of marketing though!

    Lightsaber?

Also, that actress was chosen because she is TINY. These are not replica-size props.

Does this mean no general admission fireworks or HEA at the Magic Kingdom?

The wrong information was in regards to fireworks testing that Disney decided post-publication to switch to fuses only (per the source for the article). Disney may yet close streets prior to live shells, but I'm not sure about timing anymore since they altered their plans. As far as data...

News Disney mask policy at Walt Disney World theme parks

At this point, nearly any adult in the US who wants the vaccine can recieve it. Studies done earlier this year showed that up to 40% of adults already have antibodies from prior infection. The likelihood of reinfection for vaccinated and naturally exposed individuals seems to be about 0.6% with...

    Lightsaber?

My guess is they're trying to get in front of lightsaber leaks.

EPCOT New Park Entrance coming to Epcot

Serious question - aren't these protruding lights going to screw up the way SSE funnels rain water?

    Jungle Cruise Re-Imagining

There's no outrage. Thus far it looks fine, and most people are good at value assessment. When there's outrage over something else in the future, remember that there's probably a good reason behind it... unless it's coming from some ideological campaign on Twitter.

EPCOT Reflections of Earth confirmed to be replaced by Harmonious

At this point if you offered me a full day in Dollywood or a full day in Epcot, I might take Dollywood. It used to be a small, regional park, but its expansions and cleanliness are a model for the industry.
