Definitely do not need them but it does make your life more easy with them. You get better seats, or go in early.

Disney is now selling tickets that come preloaded with fast pass selections on them. More details to come.

I go every January and February. Typically the crowds are very thin and most rides (aside from the typicals) are walk on. This year the crowds seemed thin. Didnt seem any different. However the wait times were horrendous. I’m talking about posted times and the actual times spent in line ups...

Twice this week the float with Belle and Beast has been missing. I don’t know if this is permanent or not but seems really odd. Especially since there is a backup float backstage that is to be used for faulty floats.

It was bad in September too. Those crowd calendars are useless now. All the rules are out the window. Make fast pass resos and plan well in advance and it will help significantly. There are no more slow (aka minimal wait times) periods anymore.

More insanity: This week Space Mountain was half closed. Meaning one whole track wasn’t in use and a very definitive “running at half capacity”. Here is something worse; two days ago I had a Fastpass for ToT. My app said the ride was down all day so I stayed away. I waited for the replacement...

A trip to Epcot last night reminded me that Journey, Pixar Film Fest, and Living with the Land all close at 7p. Two hours before park closing. Presumably because of budget cuts. Three attractions that toddlers can do in a park that there is very few things for them to do.

That is exactly what was happening. Every second boat was launching empty. The first boat launched from the opposite side that was unstaffed. People weren’t boarding there.

Night time at Epcot would be even better if they didn’t close Journey and Living with the Land early. Both were closed at 7p last week. They weren’t down - they were closed for the evening.
