Best way to add one more day for one party member?

If you purchased tickets from a 3rd party, you might be able to contact them and see if they have any options to help you add the extra day. But if you do end up needing to wait until you are in WDW, I strongly urge you to go to Guest Relations at a park or the Ticketing "shop" in DS. This...

MDX for the Tech-Averse Crowd (with a side of DVC)

Yes, I know that the DVC dashboard doesn't interact with the MDX profiles. Since we've always gone as a group, I've always handled the planning aspects through my MDX account. They book the DVC stay and give me the reservation #, I plug the number in to my MDX account and link up the...

MDX for the Tech-Averse Crowd (with a side of DVC)

I was always under the impression that an MDE account was completely separate from a DVC account. I knew they need to use the same credentials to "link" them, but I thought one could exist without the other.

MDX for the Tech-Averse Crowd (with a side of DVC)

Rob, THANK YOU! You filled in so many of the blanks that I was missing, the biggest being that I didn't realize I (as a "planner") could assign tickets to profiles not managed by me. I shall be raising a Dole Whip in your honor.

MDX for the Tech-Averse Crowd (with a side of DVC)

I have a trip to WDW coming up soon, and am working through getting everything set up correctly. For some context, our travel party is 3 adults from 3 households, and this is our first trip post-Genie+. Up to now, I was responsible for doing all the ticket/MagicBand/FP+ management and...

    Budget vs. Avis

Has anyone had a recent experience with either Budget or Avis at MCO? We're going to be arriving on a Tuesday (early May) at about 10am. I can get a pretty decent rate through Undercover Tourist from either company, with Avis being about $12 more. Just trying to get an idea of counter wait...

Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

If they had just left FP+ the way it was and started charging for it, I would've been annoyed, but likely just shrugged and handed over my money. Our vacation is scheduled for May. If they change G+ to allow for some sort of time selection, I'd probably buy it for MK and HS. I'm still waiting...

    Expiring tickets

I just had a similar situation -- 2 5-day Park Hoppers from May 2020, with a new vacation set for May 2022. I spoke to 4 Cast Members over 2 phone calls and 2 callbacks, with an email in between. All signs were pointing to me having to pay the difference between the 2020 and 2022 prices, as I...

    SSR again or OKW?

Some family members own at OKW, so we've stayed there several times. I really like the whole vibe of the resort. But I also love the location of SSR, since parts of it are within walking distance to Disney Springs. If OKW was in SSR's location, that, to me, would be spectacular.

    Are pressed pennies still happening?

Many of the machines across all of WDW have been converted from the type that you insert 2 quarters and 1 penny to the 8-die machines that you just insert $1 or use a credit card. So there's less need to worry about finding the loose change.

    Southwest Schedule Changed

Just wanted to give an update in case anyone is facing a similar situation. Before I had a chance to call, the return flight was also updated. So the departure flight was moved 2 hours, and the return was moved almost 3 hours. I called this morning and the agent couldn't have been any nicer...

    Southwest Schedule Changed

I have a round trip flight booked for early May, so both directions are on one reservation. This morning, I got an email from Southwest because they changed the flight time. I understand (at least I think I do) that because Southwest initiated the change, I can request a refund for my Wanna...

Changing start date on UT ticket?

I'd certainly call UT to confirm, but I think you might be all set without needing to make any changes. A 7-day ticket is good within a 10-day window, starting with the selected start date. For example, a 7-day ticket with a start date of July 12 is valid any 7 days from July 12 through July 21.

Is May a Cold Time to Go?

I've been a few times during the first half of May, and the weather has always been great. Moderate heat, low-ish humidity.

Try presscoins.com. I don't recall if any of their checklists include retired designs, but their entire database is searchable.

Next WDW ticket price increase: When?

If you log into MDE and go to the "My MagicBands and Cards" page, you'll see a list of all MagicBands and ticket media associated to each person you "manage". Next to each, you'll see a notation of "Active" or "Inactive". Assuming you didn't previously inactivate a MagicBand, everything should...

Adding days onto my hopper tickets

It depends where you bought the tickets from. If you bought them directly from Disney, then sure, go ahead and call them now. But if you bought them from an authorized reseller (like Undercover Tourist), you'll want to wait until you get down there and "activate" the ticket by going into a...
