Best way to add one more day for one party member?

Hi friends!

I currently have a reservation booked beginning Tuesday October 18th and ending Sunday October 23rd. During our stay, the four of us booked 4 day tickets for the Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. The next morning, 2/4 of us have early flights, 1 of us is visiting family, and the 4th wants a second chance at the Food and Wine Festival. Is there any way to possibly add one more ticket for that party member?

I tried calling the ticketing hotline (+1 407 934-7639), but the Cast Member I was paired with seemed to be having a less than magical day and was in a rush to get me off the phone. She said that my only option was to wait until I got down to Orlando, and buy a one day ticket at a ticket window. This made me nervous because I'd imagine I'd have to pay full price for this ticket (as opposed to a bundled price for 5 days) and the Park Reservation System would mean that I basically just have to hope EPCOT doesn't fill up until a few days before I plan to visit. This does't sound right to me, and surely there's a better solution here than just waiting until I check in.

Before I try getting in touch with someone on the Resort Reservation line, I figured it might be worth it to check in here to see if anyone knew of anything that could help!

Thank you so much!

I assume you have a package currently booked?

If that’s the case you cannot extend one person’s ticket ahead of time, because you must all have the same length of ticket.

However I think what you can do in person once you arrive is to extend one person’s ticket by a day. You don’t need to buy a single day ticket.

Going to page @Rob562 to check that. 😊

And I don’t think there’s any chance of park reservations for Epcot selling out.

The alternative is to rebook the room as a room-only and buy tickets separately. But that might be risky as far as availability goes.

I think @nickys is right about being able to add a day to one persons ticket. You’d want to do that the first day, and could probably have the CM double check that Epcot is an available reservation for that day before adding the day. It might take awhile.

I’ve definitely added days in the past, but it’s been so long I’m not sure of the current procedures.

If you purchased tickets from a 3rd party, you might be able to contact them and see if they have any options to help you add the extra day. But if you do end up needing to wait until you are in WDW, I strongly urge you to go to Guest Relations at a park or the Ticketing "shop" in DS. This past May, we tried adding a day to our tickets at the front desk of the hotel, and it did not go well.
