In Feb. '08 I took one of the first boats from Wilderness Lodge over to the Contemporary around 6:45am. The monorail started running at 7:00am. You could ride the monorail or walk from the Contemporary. You may want to check though to see if they still run the boats that early.

We've had good luck going the first week in February. The crowds were manageable and the weather was fine. The only thing about going at the beginning of the month instead of the end would be the room rates. They increase around President's Day, I think. We liked paying value season prices.

Which park would you choose to go to if you could only go to one? Universal or Islands of Adventure? We are going in January and will only be going to one park.

Our oldest daughter was 12 on our last WDW trip. She still liked the characters but was not quite as excited as she was a few years before that. We just let her decide if she wanted an autograph or picture with the character and left it at that.

My daughter and I parasailed at WDW in '08 and loved it! The crew were very friendly and took tons of pictures of us up there. The views were spectacular. I would love to do it again sometime.

We would love to try Kona on our next visit. How late do they serve their breakfast menu items? I've heard so much about them that we have to try it!

Thanks for the trip report! As much as I love going to WDW with my family I can't imagine what it would be like to be able to get up early and out the door by 7:15am all by myself. I'm jealous!

Bea Arthur had one of the most distinctive voices on television. I enjoyed watching her. She'll be missed. How many Golden Girls are left? Just Betty White and Rue McClenahan?

My DD (13) and I parasailed tandemly last year at Bay Lake and loved it! It was a little expensive but the views were great. The people running it were very nice and helpful. They made it a really fun experience.

I had my girls decorate the mousekeeping tip envelopes with Disney stickers before we left. They had fun doing it and was one less thing I had to do before leaving.

I loved watching the Great Hotels series, especially the ones on Disneyworld resorts. When I saw the show on Wilderness Lodge I knew we had to stay there! I would like to see the reruns of the other resorts as we are shopping around to see where we want to stay on our next visit.
