    Hurricane Matthew

I remember during Charley in 2004, they were handing out all kinds of chips outside the closed food court at All Star Music. There was a man there just screaming at the CM as to how he would feed his children, especially his baby who was too young to eat chips. Charley hit at 9 p.m that night...

    Hurricane Matthew

I just got a text message and an email from AAA saying the National Weather service has issued a Hurricane Watch for Walt Disney world until 1/16/2038 at 11:14 p.m. No that is NOT a typo, that is what it said.

    Hurricane Matthew

21 Stamps said: This is the difference between a tourist and a Floridian. We're idiots and sit on our balconies til the last possible minute.. And then inside watching through our floor to ceiling glass (example Me- staying in my condo in an evac zone) as it passes by...lol...

    Hurricane Matthew

I was there for Charley as well. All parks were free to park guests so you did not have to use a ticket (we had AP's) the day of Charley because the parks closed at 1:00 p.m. the day Charley hit. What a traffic nightmare. Food courts were crazy. We ordered pizza's and stocked up on other...

Why Do People Struggle So Much With Snack Prices?

As has been stated, Disney snack prices are similar to sporting events and other theme parks. If you buy ice cream at an ice cream parlor at home, the price is similar. Popcorn in the theatre and a water, similar. For the cost I am spending on a disney vacation, snacks are just a small...

    Disney After Hours Event

E-ride nights were awesome and ran at the most, $12.00 per person. $149.00 per person for three extra hours in the parks? I don't think so Tim. Disney has lost it's collective mind to greed.

Do you hate WDW but still go?

I don't hate it, I am disappointed in the direction it has taken. I find it sad as much of the magic is gone for me. I still go but now maybe once every three years instead of three times a year

Disney Survey on implementing a $15 resort fee

I don't stay at hotels that have resort fees or fees to park my car. It is a money grab. Raise the hotel rate and that for some reason doesn't irk me...but tell me I have to pay for wifi or park my car...take a hike. It's psychological I know but as I don't go to the parks every day during my...

    Kona?

Loved the Lapu Lapu. Kona was awesome. We both had steak and it was so good. Our reservation was about 7:30 and when done we went down to the beach and watched the electric light parade and then Wishes. Wonderful place to dine. I highly recommend it.

    Epcot desert party

Seems pricy if you don't drink, especially when a teenager has to pay the full price. Perhaps they should have two tiered pricing for those who don't or can't drink alcohol. I have never done the party and probably won't as for years we have always stopped in France, buying a variety of...

    Epcot desert party

Have never done the party, just a comment: Seems pricy if you don't drink, especially when a teenager has to pay the full price. Perhaps they should have two tiered pricing for those who don't or can't drink alcohol. I have never done the party and probably won't as for years we have always...

Disney Visa Rewards Redemption card question

If I redeem my Disney reward points from my Visa card and get the redemption card, can I use that card at a local Disney Store to purchase park tickets (or if they still give the voucher you get for the ticket to be redeemed at WDW?)

Disney Visa, Discover Card & Target Red Card = Almost Free Trip

Free trip: except for food but that was paid for with change I threw into a coffee can for about a year. (There was no free dining at the time) Disney Visa rewards dollars paid for hotel and park tickets. Airline miles paid for the flights :)

    New Years Eve Fireworks

Have been to DHS several times for New Years eve and loved it. Lots to do. Attractions, osbourne lights, fantasmic, and there is usually a band and the fireworks. Park does not seem as crowded as there IS so much to do. As for seeing the fireworks at MK for New Years Eve, you could try to get...

Crowds growing in off season is HS & AK expansions too little too late?

When my daughter was in school we always had to go in summer or holiday breaks such as Christmas or Easter. Now that she is no longer a student, we have gone right after labor day and it was awesome compared to summer and holidays. This past May, I was there solo the second week of May and the...
