A really great post on the state of Epcot

I was watching Martins Video on the tours at MGM Studios. I'm absolutely dumbfounded at what they have done to that park since opening day. The original tours looked amazing! I can't believe what the Backlot Tour eventually became compared to what it used to be. I just don't understand it. In 27...

New Mickey and Minnie heads - how we feeling?

I like them! They look softer and more cartoon like. Some of the old characters are hilarious. It makes you wonder how some of them were approved for use.

Would you sacrafice Splash Mountain for a more western theme?

It would be nice if Disney would release Song of the South on DVD so that everyone knew where Brer Rabbit came from in the first place! But no i don't think they should change it. Love Splash.

What are everyone's thoughts on why they haven't put a new attraction in the WoL Pavilion

It's cheaper to leave it to rott than put something new in there. Such a shame. Poor Buzzy is still in situ too, sat there, decaying.

    People want the original again!

I never had the chance to ride the original, but getting off after our first ride of thr current version, I remember turning to my husband and saying "what on earth was that all about?!" So you don't even need a comparison to know that its a load of balderdash.

Abandoned: The Rise, Fall and Decay of Disney’s River Country

I think in the state it's got to now, if they wanted to re open it, they would have to completely level it and start from scratch. Everything is way too decayed and rotten to save. I'm not sure how many people would want to go to a 'real' river experience now. I'd much rather go to a chlorine...

Major 2015 Pirates of the Caribbean Refurbishment Watch/Rumor.

It looks fantastic! I too don't understand why they'd change Barbossa's costume. He looked a lot more convincing in his regular Black Pearl garb, but oh well. I witnessed the mermaids during our last trip. Definitely after the fog effect and just as you're oming up on the beach with the pirate...

Help needed from our overseas friends

We're back! I'll be doing a full trip report soon, but I am glad to report that I saw no kiddies climbing up the Dragon Vine (like above), and I saw many CMs telling kids to get down off things, and not sit on railings and they were listened to. Although a couple of times we had been waiting for...

It's Tough to be a Bug! "stings"

They definitely don't 'shock' you as you would think of an electric shock. It's literally a little like, pointy thing that comes out the back of the chair. I remember my first time, and mine didn't work! And everyone else jumped. It was quite funny! Just lean forward when the bee bit comes on. I...

Help needed from our overseas friends

People have no respect for anything any more, seriously. We're off to DLP tomorrow for a week. Super excited because I've never seen a Disney park all Halloweened up before! I'm also excited for Legacy FP and a Pirates of the Caribbean that hasn't been bastardised by the movies! Hurrah!

    Post Something You Miss

They hacked the show to pieces a few years back. Cut out some songs, put the whole thing on PC lockdown.... very sad. Youtube it before say, 2013 to see the full show, and then now. Sad times.

Is the clock ticking on the Sorcerer Mickey Hat icon at the Studios? YES!

What a beautiful sight. It's like the hat never existed.

What are your biggest park regrets?

Not living within walking distance. Or driving distance for that matter!

Ellen's voice is back in the ride... but her animatronic is probably gone for good.

I think I must've been born during the 'break', in 1989. I never really got into Doctor Who until David Tennant came along. I haven't seen many of the original episodes, and I haven't watched that many since. Any way, I find it odd that Epcot sells some random stuff like Dr Who and the...

Ellen's voice is back in the ride... but her animatronic is probably gone for good.

It's probably because Christopher Eccleston was rubbish compared to David Tennant. When Matt Smith came along, I stopped watching. That may not be everyones opinion, I know, but could be the reason why.
