    How does this sound?

Chance of discount, sure. Sounds like you're looking around Easter 2014, which is a popular week, so prices will be higher for rooms and discounts less likely. You can see past discounts here: http://www.mousesavers.com/historical-information-on-walt-disney-world-resort-discounts/ Since...

    No standard rooms?

I see standard for those dates available at all three All Stars, Pop, and Port Orleans French Quarter. But you're right, others showing no standards available on those dates. And that's checked through the travel agent side, so it's not just consumer site showing that.

    Tables in Wonderland Confusion

As far as I'm aware, it is only valid at Table Service restaurants listed, with the exception of the Value resorts and Animal Kingdom where it's also valid at most of the counter service locations. But no discounts at kiosks, regular or festival.

    No standard rooms?

I just ran a search for mid October for a week for 4 in a room and see standard rooms at All Star Music and Coronado. Didn't check others, but imagine they do too. What are you searching? Dates, people, etc?

Is a guide worth the money for a family that's never been?

Having an experienced tour guide is an amazing experience. Along with just knowing where the crowds will be (and won't) and helping with a touring plan, a tour guide is also your insider to history and stories about the parks. Plus, a good tour guide will also act as your personal assistant...

    Disney.com or travel agent?

Are you referring to the Disney Rewards from the Disney Visa program? You would just put the balance you have on a rewards/gift card, then use that to make a payment through your travel agent.

    Premium Contributor status just disappeared

I notice I still have mine, but several others are missing theirs as well. I hope this isn't going away, it's nice to have some designation for being a premium member. Feel free to PM me on this as well @wdwmagic if there are more details.

    Disney.com or travel agent?

Even with using a travel agent, you can still plan most/all of the trip yourself. It just allows you to decide how much you want to do yourself and how much you'd like to let your agent do. One other "benefit" of using a smaller, independent travel agency/agent is that you get to support the...

    Disney.com or travel agent?

Well, the benefits of using a travel agent that specializes in Disney vacations include having a point person with experience who can answer your questions, help with planning, and put together the perfect vacation that meets your needs. They may also offer to book dining reservations, etc, all...

Travel Insurance. It is worth it?

Especially for international travel, this part of trip insurance is perhaps the most important. When people first think of trip insurance, they often focus on the cancellation, lost baggage, delay aspects of coverage. But the medical insurance and evacuation parts that many policies cover in my...

Walking from POFQ to Old Key West

If dining options is what you're looking for, then there are definitely a bunch in Downtown Disney, accessible by boat. House of Blues was decent. And I've had several great meals at Wolfgang Puck (downstairs full service).

Enchanted Tiki Room closing for month long refurbishment

Not sure who this is directed at, but I started the thread after seeing the information on Disney's official website for travel agents. Things change, and dates/refurbs are always subject to change or be cancelled completely. But I just checked, and officially, these are the dates of the...

Refrigerators being temporarily removed from all rooms

To be fair, Disney isn't temporarily removing the mini-fridges to save money or inconvenience guests. They are removing them because of a defect (i.e. safety issue). I can understand being unhappy about not receiving an amenity that was expected, but they are dealing with that issue as well with...

Epcot's Holidays Around the World shortened for 2013

While it's showing less days, can you really call it a cut? It ran from Black Friday to Dec 30th last year; it is running from Black Friday to December 30th this year as well. It's just that Thanksgiving is a week later this year.

Refrigerators being temporarily removed from all rooms

To add to what has been posted previously, the credit is not automatic, nor is it for every circumstance. It is meant to be a manager's discretion based on what can be offered with each individual guest's room and needs. Please don't assume that if you are staying at WDW in the next few months...

    Nail Salon in/around Disney?

The spa at Grand Floridian (and I would assume the one reopening later this month at Saratoga Springs) have nail services. http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/media/wdw_nextgen/CoreCatalog/WaltDisneyWorld/en_us/PDF/senses-spa-brochure.pdf...
