    Orange Lake Resorts

It took us about 45-1 hour to get to the magic Kingdom from the Orange Lakes resort. We ended up hiring a private car for the week. Cost about as much as a rental would have anyway.

I have a question for ya! Do you think it's possible to have a Wedding at Shades of Green and a reception in the parks (or a special dessert party for Illuminations)? Just day dreaming. ;)

    Orange Lake Resorts

Nope. We didn't really explore the resort much however, their pizza delivery was good! lol I would suggest that anyone who stay here RENT A CAR if you plan on exploring anywhere outside of your room. The shuttles were EXTREMELY inconvient. We would have had to walk over a block just to get...

    Orange Lake Resorts

Review! Hi Jeff (and others!) Yup - that's me! I do the Disneyland column for Celebrations. Best job ever! My friend and I stayed in the West Village area and ended up getting set up with Platinum Transportation while we were there. They were very prompt and friendly and stayed with us...

    Orange Lake Resorts

I'm so glad someone posted this!!!! My best friend and I are headed there this December! We're wondering how we're going to get to and from the parks in the most economical fashion possible. Rental cars are looking like over $300 for the week (12/1-12/8), so there has GOT to be something...

How does the Matterhorn fit into Fantasyland's theme?

I always rationalized it figuring that Fantasyland is all about story book stories, and Heidi was pretty well known at one time....

SheRox is BACK at Disneyland Resort!!!

I was thinking that perhaps it was one lap around the Rivers of America. When we swam the DCA lagoon last year, we swam the perimeter of the lagoon. I'm more concerned about getting hung up or injured by submerged show equipment. I'm sure it's more than 1-2 feet deep - but that's because...

SheRox is BACK at Disneyland Resort!!!

I have been waiting almost a year for Danskin to announce where the LA Women's Triathlon would be held. I'm THRILLED to note that it's BACK at the Disneyland Resort!:sohappy: They haven't released the track info yet. Last year, we swam in the main laggoon in DCA that is currently empty. The...

    Character meal dining solo?

Yup! Took them several years to get over the fact that I go to Disneyland solo (well, sort of solo - I bring my dog usually) for a day or two! There aren't many single rider lines, but there is NOTHING like just strolling the parks and soaking everything up. Oddly enough, now a couple of my...

    Character meal dining solo?

Thanks folks! I guess I'm nervous about going solo AND dining solo with characters. In a restruant I can usually keep myself entertained with a book, or writing about my trip, reviewing photos on my camera, or sending a few text messages. So I don't feel too out of place. Often, I'll eat at...

    Character meal dining solo?

Hey there folks! I am taking my first trip to WDW this Decemeber and there's a good chance I'll be flying solo. My "tradition" at Disneyworld is to start off my first morning with a Character breakfast. It really helps break the ice and get me in the mood (especially after a 6+ hour...

Smoke over Disneyland California from wildfires

Hang in there chika! My area down south is STILL really dry. We burned last year in the Witch Creek fire. Missed my house by 9 feet. It is so devasting. Over a year later, many people still can't afford to rebuild. :(

    Tips about Disneyland.

One of the great things about Disneyland's location (in a city) via Disneyworld is that you can stay off property and usually get a really good deal - and still be within walking distance. Disneyland is definately worth a visit, but I'd hold off on booking a trip just yet. See what deals turn...
