    Anyone else skip the parades?

I don't bother with the day parades. Once I see a parade once, that is enough for me. I just got back from Disney this Sunday and when MK had EMH, we saw Spectromagic for the first time. We went to the 11:00 one which is far less crowded. We went to Frontierland like 5 minutes before it started...

    What's scary about a roller-coaster?

I think the dark can definitely cause anxiety, even if you are not scared of the dark. It just intensifies everything. I remember riding Space Mountain for the first time and not knowing where the drops were because of the darkness. I kept wondering every time we climbed up a little "Is it...

    Returning to WDW since 82'

For me planning is half the fun. Taking the time to research what is out there and getting excited to see the days unfold as you plan. Maybe do some not so obvious things as well (speed boating on the lagoon/lake, shopping at Downtown Disney, swimming at night). You have plenty of time in 8 days...

    Jungle Cruise: What's The Point?

What's the point? Variety. Everyone is different and therefore likes different things. Some people like the real deal with animals, some people like the "fake" version at MK. I personally like both. I don't see that many similarities between KS and JC. Besides the real animals, I think it's...

    Poly or BW?

I LOVE the Poly! I will actually be there in 11 days :) I have never stayed at the Boardwalk so I can't comment on that, but nothing beats the atmosphere of the Poly. I take the monorail to the TTC and then to Epcot all the time without any issues. I actually enjoy the little loop the...

El Rio Del Tiempo - Anyone else's favorite ride?

I agree! Good memories is why I ride it. I can't imagine Epcot without it. I think it is also a hidden gem and a good way pass the time if you are waiting to get in to San Angel's. I can't wait to ride it in 17 more days!!!

Do you keep your Resort ID cards as souveniers?

I have a Disney box where I put everything I collect from my trips. Maps of the hotel with our room number on it, brochures from the parks, pins, etc. I also keep the resort key card but I put the most recent one in my wallet. This way whenever I open my wallet, it's there in a credit card...

    Disney Spa

My fiancee and I have been to the Grand Floridian Spa and we both loved it. They pay such great attention to you and the place is super relaxing. You can actually go on line and see their "menu". It lists the treatments separately and a list of pre-made packages towards the bottom. They have...

    Mickey and MCDonald's

Hey everyone, Last night I was watching the WGN news at nine and they said something about a rift between Mickey and McDonald's. Unfortunately, it was towards the end of the broadcast and fell asleep before I could see it. I tried to look for it on the Web and could not find anything. I also...

    Going in June?

I think it won't be too bad because it's the first week or so. It's later in the month that it gets worse. I have been in early June before and this time we are going the 3rd to the 11th so we'll be there at the same time. As for the weather, it will be hot, but I am used to going in late...

    what are your top 5????

1.) Space Mountain 2.) Pirates 3.) Splash Mountain 4.) Haunted Mansion 5.) Rio del Tiempo (I know. Kind of weird right! But it's on my personal list simply for the good memories my fiancee and I have attached to that ride and that pavillon as a whole) We are going back to the World on...

    Is anyone else waiting...

I just got an AP discount for June but it's for the 1st week. Boy that discount really makes a difference in the price. Too bad I didn't wise up to APs till last year. To think all the money I could have been saving since 2003!!:brick: Waiting is definitely a pain, especially when you have a...

    Short Poll AK or Poly?

I've stayed at both but nothing beats The Poly!! Especially now that it has been through a refub with new format in the Great Ceremonial House and new rooms with flat screen tvs and brand new furnishings. There is nothing like seeing all those palm trees outside your room when you open the...

Where was your best dining experience

We LOVE Jiko's. What a great experience going there! We always make it our first dinner upon arrival. Sort of like a tradition. I am not into lamb but my fiancee says they have the BEST lamb there. I think they also have great appetizers and their cheese plate is fantastic. I also love 1900...

    Worst Disney ride experience.

Mine was actually Small World. Need I say more! My true nightmare though would be on Test Track in the "corrosive" room. That room just gives me the creeps everytime I go through it! I know it's just lights, but I don't like it :o

Whats your Favorite part of TTA?

I LOVE "Now approaching Mickey's Star Traders". And the lady's voice, especially when she says something about keeping "tentacles" inside the ride vehicle. I also love going through SM. The best was when we went through while SM was lit. That was great! I just think it is such a nice relaxing...

    Sunrise Safari

Last time I was at the Poly I could have sworn that there was something in my room that stated that because we were in the Poly Concierge that we can do the safari as well. I also called the Poly a week ago to ask if we could and they said yes that we were able to sign up. I didn't bother to...

    Sunrise Safari

Hi all, I tried to do a search and nothing came up. Have any of you done the Sunrise Safari at Animal Kingdom? We will be in Disney for a few days in May and want to do something special this time around and this seems like a great idea since it is available to us at our hotel. For those of you...

Well, I'm ready to get engaged at WDW!

I got engaged at WDW last year in Sept and it was the most memorable trip ever. I also got a glass slipper and it is definitely now my favorite "souvenir" from Disney. Have a great time and good luck! I am sure all the planning will pay off with a resounding "YES" :)
