Honestly, it wasn't intended to be a joke. I appreciate the sentiment, though. I think the reactions in this thread truly represent the ambivalence towards it. I think I would rather see the final showing of this though.

I still don't see how Universal is trying to "keep up" with Disney. Let's take the comparisons a step further by looking at time of parks being open. The Studios and MGM opened around the same time and Animal Kingdom and IoA opened around the same time. Considering Universal has two parks...

How so? They have added the same equivalent in the same amount of time. Five attractions for MK... Five attractions for Universal Studios. Two attractions for Animal Kingdom... Three attractions for IoA (you for forgot Storm Force Acceletron and Flying Unicorn... plus the revamped Poisiden's...

I completely understand where their logic is coming from... but to me Everest isn't that great of a ride. It's a backwards helix, a drop, a helix, a bunny hop, a yeti and turn. There is an actual story to the Hulk and Dueling Dragons... but most Disney fans don't care simply because the ride's...

So... because Universal has five exposed coasters (I'll be easy on you by counting Dueling Dragons twice and the two kiddie coasters) Disney is better. I see track on the Barnstormer. I've never seen a train go up a mountain so steep like on Everest... or circle back on itself in a helix...

Only part of it is being rethemed. That's what happens when people start nay-saying without knowing all the details. The side closest to Suess Landing is remaining (the bizzare/ruins area). The Jurassic park side (the medievil section) is being rethemed.

Strike Busch Gardens from your list. Traveling alone will wipe two or three hours from your day and renting a car for soul purpose of going out there is a tad bit of overkill. Furthermore, if you CAN'T rent the car... the cab fare would be horrendous. Sea World is more of an ambiance park...
