Are you a WDW loyalist or another type?

I went to MK in Orlando the year it opened. I was 11 years old. Then went back twice with my two young kids & once with one of the kids and her friend = 4. By this time, Epcot and HS were in the picture. Jump 18 years after my middle daughter was born and we had our 3rd child. We waited till she...

    A Star Is Born

Wow, I’d forgotten about this thread. I finally saw the film, just before Oscar. Loved it. The music sticks with you. And somehow the cheesiness is fine. Liked some of the different takes. The tinnitus. Bradley and Gaga were “the moment” at the Oscars!! Not sure why people talk about...

    Here's you, here's me

Yes, there was a proposal! 😬

    Here's you, here's me

Well, I’ll just add this. I sat at home this year and let my now 17 year old go off with a school group. Breaking our at least 12 year streak. No fun, let me tell you. Then to add insult to injury, the teacher in charge of the group chose not to obtain initial FPs because she did not see the...

    Mad Micromanaging Disney Mom

I should not have posted in the first place. Just frustrated. Did not realize what category I had posted under.

Sorry, I have no idea how to move it.

    Mad Micromanaging Disney Mom

Should I take issue with the fact that a teacher’s boyfriend has joined on my daughter’s school trip to Disney? The trip was getting on my nerves anyway, because the teacher in charge did not see any point in arranging initial FPs for the kids. So they are now having to stand in the long...

    Micromanaging Mom

I just need to vent and saw the orange post button! My daughter will be going on a Disney trip with a school group next Thursday for Spring Break. I am not going. That is probably the biggest thing. I was torn between just letting her go or me tagging along. I chose the latter. She is 17. We...

How to swap wives on select Disney rides?

My sister is good friend’s with her deceased husband’s ex-wife. True story. They actually love explaining who the other is to people. Sorry, but when I read your post it made me think of this.

Could Rio possibly be the main E-Ticket attraction of the Brazil Pavilion?

Duh, just realized we are talking “Rio” the animated film and not the city. My daughter is currently there and received a warning about more heavy rain and wind from the embassy after the awful rain last week. So I have real Rio on my mind.

Could Rio possibly be the main E-Ticket attraction of the Brazil Pavilion?

I don’t get why Fox has to have anything to do with it?? A Brazil pavilion would be awesome and long over due IMO. Brazilians are nuts about Disney. Quite possibly more nuts than many other countries. There is much more to Brazil than Rio. Maybe I am not understanding the query here.

News Reusable shopping bags now available at all Walt Disney World owned and operated merchandise locations

I usually decline to purchase at all with the poor quality merchandise and the ridiculous prices. So no issues with bags for me. I did sometimes grab a “to go” bag (the inkless kind) from the food court to carry in my Vera Bradley purse and put to use as a “purse raincoat” in the event of a...

My Review of the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train

The comparison to Splash Mountain is interesting. If only this was more like Splash Mountain. Love SM more in so many ways!! I love the meandering relaxing part of it and then the suspenseful build up. I wish 7DMT gave us more time to enjoy some detail and scenery. I don’t mind a smaller...

What ride(s) can you absolutely not miss during a Disney trip?

We usually do Peter Pan’s Flight first. Makes us feel like we have arrived! Can’t miss Living With the Land at Epcot. Just something about it. That sweet yellow farm house. Love lots more: Haunted Mansion, Splash Mountain. So many I can ride over and over and over.

Trip Report Solo: A Disneyland Story - My first trip by myself!

Good luck! Disney sounds like the perfect thing for you. Enjoy.

Space Mountain hurts me too much to ride it again until it's repaired. Anyone else feel this way?

I’m just under 60 and haven’t ridden space mountain ein forever. I used to love wild coasters. We had one at Houston Texas’ Astroworld: The Texas Cyclone. Fantastic wooden coaster! I get too roughed up now. My back can’t take it. Even with the smoothness of 7DMT, I was a wreck after a few...

WDW, Please fast track attractions, crowd level critical

It is also Carnaval time in Brazil. Hoards of tourists invade Brazil and I am sure many families (if they can afford to do so) run away to Disney. They are huge Disney fans.

WDW, Please fast track attractions, crowd level critical

I agree with “critical mass is here.” We always go in Spring during Spring Break which is peak season. So the crowds are no surprise. For World Showcase to become so crowded that we chose to park hop (via boat) to HS was extreme. I also paid for an expensive HEA dessert party at MK in...

Tacit differences between Value - Moderate - Deluxe

Pop may never be the same after the gondolas begin operating. Such a shame. It was our favorite resort. I feel like once Star Wars Land opens, it will be 100% occupancy all the time.

    Wait Lines for New Gondolas

Pop is our favorite resort. We were there last March and stayed in a newly renovated room. We were in 60s down toward Generation Gap bridge and could see the gondola construction. I don’t think Pop will ever be the same again. Once the Star Wars fans hit and gondola service starts up, it’ll be...
