Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

They don't "break down", 90% of stops are due to disabled boarding at the exit. Also disabled exiting as well.

Because the public has voiced their frustration with having to know what restaurants 6 months out and what rides 90 days out. To non Disney folks that was just insane. As a WDW veteran I thought the FP that far out was insane as well. This puts it much more in the moment. It matches up your...

I agree. I imagine Genie will be all over your butt if you are approaching a reservation and are nowhere near the location you need to be. I'd like if they had app based nags that reached out into the real world. Like say you are on Haunted Mansion, they could have the Ghost Host speak to you...

Time, quality, and the desire for you to have an overall positive experience. If your room at Days Inn has a problem they are not as motivated to fix it as All Star Movies is going to be. Same as when I had a problem with my dining plan, the resort person I spoke with was happy to fix it. It...

In the last year or so of FP+ they had cut that grace period down to like 10-15min (unless you had a verifiable reason, like stuck on a ride or monorail, etc.

I've been doing spreadsheets for over 20yrs. Mainly to make sure we balanced our time at the different parks, but also to keep track of FP times, dinner reservations, etc. This change means I don't need to plan out FPs 3 months out, back to the old FP process of same day. I hope they keep the...

From what I read and heard you would not lose it. The only limit is in the number of LLs you can get in a day. They said "1 or 2 per day."

Back in the day you MIGHT have been able to score a FP for FOP. It took us 3yrs to ride Midway Mania. Line was always hours long within 10 min of opening and the FPs were out to the end of the day. The good old days were nasty, brutish, and short.

It is more than that from a scheduling point of view. They are trying to provide the best to the most. If there is an "unlimited" option that messes with the scheduling. One tour group with a Space Mountain obsession could nix the experience for hundreds of other guests.

Yes, and the look of a 5hr line snaking through the park was bad show.

From your lips to Bob's ears. I'd like 1/3 the attention that goes into cupcakes to be directed at rum drinks. Bring back El Pirate y el Perico and make it 21+ rum bar.

I don't get the snark. Those are complimentary little fun add ons. I thought the Mickey & Minnie examples they showed looked fun. If they have a Stitch one my son will love it. Don't come on so heavy.

Personally, I strongly disagree with your statement. Family and I have been fortunate enough to go to a good number of destinations and WDW is consistently at the top of the list (and when you factor in size and scope it is head and shoulders number 1.) The closest Disney level of...

News Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser coming to Walt Disney World 2021

I agree with you 100% What would you pay for this experience? I'm thinking that for our family of 3 we'd pay $1,500 total for the experience. That's $250/day/person. Since the point of our WDW vacations is adventure, food, & fun, this tics off only a couple of those well. Only 2 rides in 2...

Crowd Control; But at What Cost?

To be contrarian here, I was just (3 wks ago) looking at pics of Frontierland and thinking the trees looked to big. It messes with the forced perspective in my opinion. I think the pines up at the walk through to the bathrooms and Aventureland are too big as well. Same as the ones that flank...

No, actually they will be selling those but only to Galactic Star Cruiser guests. Someone linked to the patent when they released this video, ingenious the way it works, basically like two measuring tapes that lock together as they unfurl. I don't think they are strong enough to do battle...

They would scale it up if they can provide a compelling experience to more people and make more money. Those new light sabers alone would sell themselves if you just had a cool training secession.

Disney announces the return of Disney Cruise Line voyages from Florida in August

There's a potential up-charge you missed for "a family of 4, with no traveler under 12 years old, who choose to go on a Disney cruise unvaccinated." They may be asked to pay with one of their lives. I know, I know, that's why we all have two kids and two parents in the family. It's the...
