I’ve long thought they should team with LEGO to create sets of classic attractions. The castle set a few years back was a good start, but I’d love to see DL’s castle, the train station, Mansion, etc.

This doesn’t do it for ya? I agree it’s light on rides, but in terms of scenery, I think it’s tough to beat. DLP doesn’t try to compete with the city of Paris. It serves all of Western Europe as its “local crowd”, not just Paris/France.

Disneyland Paris is stunningly gorgeous. I could happily walk around it for hours without going on any rides. Its Frontierland and Fantasyland are two of the most amazing lands out of all the Disney Parks I’ve been to.

I mean, couldn’t you say the same thing about any animatronic? But that’s not really the point of animatronics (even if it were true).

Toy Story 4 made me cry due to a lack of screen time for Buzz, Jessie, and the rest of the OG gang 😕

I think the current model of endless clones is even worse than overuse of IPs. Ratatouille, MMRR, Tron, SW:GE, etc. it makes it hard to get as excited.

I’m going to take a wait and see approach on this. It might look bad at the moment, but if this ride is really as complex as we’ve heard, it would make sense for it to have technical problems. A year from now, if this ride is an E+ ticket and the most popular ride at the resort, I doubt too many...

I say go for it, and then hire everyone on the DL forum. Collectively I’m sure we would have the clout to bring back Rocket Rods.

Happyhaunt, I’m not saying Star Tours is bad. I love the original Star Tours. All I’m saying is there is precedent to prominently featuring unknown characters in a Star Wars ride.

The lightsaber at the end was a nice touch.

Yeah, I mentioned it in another thread (lots of SW threads right now) but the waterfall is on, and while you can see it and hear it from the attraction entrance, it’s hidden enough that I wouldn’t say it really adds much to the atmosphere of the land itself (if you’re not in the queue).

Yeah, that’s the one. You can pretty easily see it when you’re standing at the ROTR entrance.

I’m sure they made some improvements to the technical design, but by and large the DCA tower was done on the cheap because of Pressler. Virtually everything about DHS’s is superior from a show standpoint - exterior, queue, boiler room, load/unload setup, ride pacing, different drop profiles...

Oof... gonna have to disagree with that...
