Help me be not quite so sad

The horror!!! That means no mallow crisp milkshake, I feel your pain but so many other delish options. (GF means no big pink donut either?)

    What Would You Do?

We stayed in the Contemporary in October and it was AMAZING! Walking to MK was such a time saver, hopping on the monorail to the Poly and GF was so quick, as was the transfer to Epcot. Loved Contempo cafe and Chef Mickey. Pool wasn't all that themed but my boys loved it-it was a pool and that's...

Help me be not quite so sad

Love WDW but Uni has so much going for it. HP is amazing, there've been so many great new additions and a lot to look forward to in the near future, the onsite perks are so much better (esp the express passes at the 3 original resorts) there's no need for the same kind of planning for ADRs and...

    Stupid City Walk ?

Restaurants aren't just reasonably priced but are fab!! Loved Cowfish-still dreaming of mallow crisp milkshakes. Stone cold creamery-mmmmm!! RedOven pizza great too and no ADRs for any were needed!!!!

    The Kitchen Sink

We had the chocolate lover's kitchen sink-choc brownies, chocolate candy, chocolate sauce and scoops of cookies and cream, chocolate and vanilla ice cream. Even splitting 2 burgers between the 4 of us didn't leave space to get finished. Sooo good though.

    Butterbeer Fudge

Nooooo!! Yeeeessss!!!! The pics look so yum, especially the 'frosty' topping. Frozen's my fav (butterbeer I mean, but also partial to the cinematic spectacular!) but the fudge might be a close second.

Your Favorite Dishes at these ADRs?

Bread pudding is my favourite food group, well, along with fudge, marshmallow, chocolate and cake!

What in Walt's name do I do with a 6 year old?

My two really enjoyed the interactive pirate adventure in Adventureland. They got hooked and followed one map after another. Took a little over an hour to do them all (they ran from clue to clue) and they had the maps as souvenirs. They also enjoyed sorcerers of MK. We didn't get much done as we...

    Aug. 2016 Honeymoon - ADRs/Dining Plans - Help!

Wolfgang Puck Express in Disney Springs is really good. Quick Serve so no ADR required. Skipper Canteen looks so cool, no ADRs taken, but from a blog review I just read there is rarely any great wait and the menu is more unusual and unique than others at MK. I would second Flame Tree for an AK...

Your Favorite Dishes at these ADRs?

Sci-fi is so cool. We had burgers and a salmon dish. We really enjoyed our meal. BoG is gorgeous. Love the steak and grey stuff for dessert-choc brownie topped by amazing buttercream. Boma was amazing. So many dishes but loved the spiced salmon, spiced sirloin and roast chicken along with a...

    Rope Drop Question

The closer to the front of the early entry ADR queue the better. Only 1 tapstile is open so it can take a while to get everyone in the queue through. The longer it takes you to get through and to CP, the longer it takes to get seated as others with the same time slot, but who checked in before...

WDW/Universal vacation split. How long in Uni?

Last trip we did 7 at the Contemporary at WDW and 7 at HRH at Uni. Spent all our 7 days in the Disney bubble but ventured outwith Uni when we stayed at HRH, but still found ourselves at the parks a lot!! We did Uni in the second week as it's a slower, more relaxed pace, especially with onsite...

    Rope Drop Question

Most are heading to fantasyland for 7DMT, Pan, etc. We did rope drop a different day and headed to BTM first which wasn't too bad. Getting to the park early so you're at the head of the mob helps a lot.

    Rope Drop Question

October. Not usually such a busy time but this year was. Crowd levels of between 5 and 7 were expected according to a couple of crowd calendars but actual levels turned out to be between 8 and 9. Rope drop touring meant we got a lot done before crowds built by 11am. Bonus was disney made quite a...

    Universal problem.. no good food?

We really enjoyed the citywalk offerings. Cowfish was delicious, red oven pizza too. Cold Stone Creamery-wow!! Other menus and reviews looked good too. Staying at HRH, we tried and enjoyed the kitchen and the pool bar, big portions too. In the parks we tended to snack - love the lard lad donuts...

    Be Our Guest...Grrr

Was idly looking at reservations the other day and was surprised to see 3 different slots for dinner at decent times "just" 180 days out for the busy July time. Perhaps there is some slow down in demand starting? Certainly wasn't the case when I was booking ADRs 180+10 days out last April for...

    Garden Grill?

When we were there last they brought out platters to us, but there were 2 kinds of meat, potatoes, macaroni, veg and the like - some degree of choice but nothing like a buffet. Quality was good though. Pretty sure the kids were offered chicken drumsticks. They got cupcakey desserts rather than...

From a Park to POFQ for lunch ?

We made our way from HS to POFQ to pick up some beignets about 12:30 and then took the boat to DS. We waited about 10 mins for a bus and it was about a 10/15 min journey. We waited for the boat for about 15 minutes and it was a fun, leisurely way to get to DS-took about 15 minutes or so. After a...
