Loved reading this thread! I am missing WDW right now so I pulled out my stash of soaps and shampoos just so I could shower and smell like WDW.

Either way have more fun than possible at my favorite resort! I have been unwilling to forgo a trip to Orlando and WDW for as long as it would take me to save up to stay at the cabins (we pay with cash, never use a credit card for anything other than a deposit, house rules) and I miss the place...

^^^ Exactly why we rest the day of the party and eat a good meal before we go to the MK. We are suckers for Pecos Bills or Caseys tho so we always get a snack at some point in the evening. Keeps my DH from eating all his candy like a two year old!

Does trip insurance cover all the extra things you needed? I have only traveled with insurance once to Europe, and did not need to use it. However, my DREAM would be to be stuck in WDW, unable to travel back home for a few extra days, just not sure my budget would like it!

I would resort hop OR go to DTD to look around. Find a nice beach area to nap. Fort Wilderness is a fun place to walk around. They house the horses used in MK for the trolley, the barn is free to visit. From there it is a short boat ride to the Wilderness Lodge or the Contemporary (from FW) and...

Just say you are visiting the Contemporary and have your ride drop you off there. It should work. Some locals may go there just to shop at a store and there has to be a way for someone to drop you off there as well.

The prices are what keeps me from staying. We drive and I hate paying a few to park my car, it seems alittle like gouging to me.

I used to get great ones every year and we used them. Then, one year we did not use one and then I did not get another for the next few years! I have no idea why or who gets them, I only know that IF I can, I try to use ones I get and I play on their website often.
