    How often would you go?

I live 3.5 hours away. We make 3-4 trips a year. We go for a long weekend though. If the kids have a day or two off of school, those are the weekends we go. We don't feel as if Disney has lost it's magic, but then we're Disney fanatics too. That might play a role in it too. It's a lot...

Crowds / Weather for August & October trips

As others have said, expect August to be hot and humid. It will rain in the afternoon and you might experience a few days of stormy weather. It's the typical summer Florida weather pattern. It's also near the peak of the hurricane season. The last few years we haven't had even a threat but...

    Magic kingdom on a Saturday?

Mondays are better, although don't be too afraid of a Saturday. As long as it's not some holiday weekend if you arrive early enough and use the fast pass system right, you'll see just about everything.

When is Very Merry Christmas Parade Taping?

Sorry if this has already been posted or if I'm in the wrong section. I can't find it. I've found that the taping is the weekend of the 6-9th. I was looking at this Saturday and noticed that the MK opened earlier (8Am) and was open til 1 with EMH til 3. Are they filming on Saturday? and if...

Pre-Trip Disney without kids for younger couples

Alcohol is definitely a big difference. We can take our time at World Showcase and have a few beers and likewise and at DTD without worrying about driving. Just don't know what else. I am like a kid when I go with my kids. I want to spend as much time as I can in the parks. I'll probably...

Pre-Trip Disney without kids for younger couples

Really curious about some of the recommendations people can make. My wife mentioned this past weekend (we just got back a few hours ago) how it would be fun without the kids.

    Late April or Early May?

Like someone else said, if Easter is in late April then it's a no no. Easter is one of the worst times to go because of the crowds. There's considered holiday crowds. If it's not Easter then both are roughly the same. The only thing is that on weekends you might see spikes in crowds as...

Most of the construction is on the West Side no? Guest Relations is on the East side just past Ghirardeli

Best place to pick up my AP?

Guest relations at Downtown Disney is also an option. It might be the faster option too. You'll have to drive farther, get on the tram at the parks and pay for parking. At the Boardwalk there's a fair amount of walking and it seems like you might be pressed for time.

If I wanted to visit the Utilidor system....

If you applied through the college program, it might carry more weight on a resume especially if you're studying something in hospitality. Keep in mind that the work won't be all that great. Most people do stuff like cashiers for example. Some kids who return do other jobs they consider more...

If I wanted to visit the Utilidor system....

No, it's serious. The place is a party town. Imagine an entire apartment complex with college kids not going to school and with a little money in their pocket. Not only was their Vista Way (Vista Lay) but there was also The Commons (The Condoms). Remember that everyone has a different work...

All Star Music During Food Court Refurb

Pretty much what ISTC said. If you use the food court or the arcade, probably not. They convert the arcade to a cafeteria. They do offer sandwiches, chips, bagels, etc. If that's what you eat consider it. If you want a lot of the other stuff like the pastas then no.We drive, so we'll drive...

    Planning trip in Feb 2015

Is this your son's first trip? Have you and the Mrs. been to Disney a few times? If you haven't been much or it's the little' guy's first time, then no. You want at least one full day at the Magic Kingdom. There is plenty to do there for a child and even the grown ups. You won't see it all...

What are your Disney trip essentials?

I think you should start packing because you'll forget stuff the morning of the trip. Just tell her you, your husband or both of you have to travel for work. Maybe leave her clothes for last or something. We pack at the last minute but we make a few trips a year and it's for a long weekend...

When to Visit in April for lowest Crowds?

April is a tricky month. You have Easter which is going to be terrible. Easter week crowds are considered holiday crowds. Check the calendar and mark that off. If some schools have a late spring break you might experience some crowds at that time too. Towards the end of the month you start...
