Best place to pick up my AP?

So, I ordered my first ever WDW AP on Friday and on Tuesday I'm going to look to pick it up since I'll be in Orlando for class that morning. I get out of class at 10:30 and have to be at work at 2 pm, so I'm looking for advice on the best place to go to hand in my info and walk away with my pass pretty quickly. That way on my day off Thursday I can just go right into the parks with my new pass and experience Disney for the first time since I was a kid. Sorry if this isn't exactly the right forum for this thread, just looking for advice on the best ticket booth to get this done quickly and conveniently on Tuesday. I haven't been to the world outside of a few movie nights at Downtown Disney in years.

the fastest service I have had is at the International Gateway. Why they took the service away from the Hotel check-in desks is beyond my imagination!

Agree with @harryk. You can park for free in the Boardwalk lot (non resort guests are allowed to park there) and then either walk or take to the boat (walking would be faster) to the International Gateway.

Guest relations at Downtown Disney is also an option. It might be the faster option too. You'll have to drive farther, get on the tram at the parks and pay for parking. At the Boardwalk there's a fair amount of walking and it seems like you might be pressed for time.

With the current construction and traffic jams, Downtown Disney may not be a time saver.

Ordinarily, I would say go to DTD. But why go to all the hassle on your work day? On your day off, I would just go straight to whichever park you were planning to go to first. Get there as early as possible, and pick up your pass at the Guest Relations window just outside the park gate.

Since you are picking up an annual pass,if you are also getting the Tables in Wonderland dining plan(it is didcounted for AP holders and is a great deal), you can get both at DTD but cannot get the TW plan at the International Gateway. Have no idea why ,but was told this (twice) by Disney this past Spring. We decided to brave the crowds at DTD rather than take the chance at the IG as we wanted to use the TW plan in EPCOT the same day we picked up our AP.

Actually, you Can get the Tables card at the International Gateway, just not at the ticket booth - you have to go to the Guest Relations booth across from it, where you can also get your AP. At least, as of last Christmas you could, which is where I got mine

I agree with @JohnD - get your pass on the day you'll be in the parks. You're AP start date begins when you pick it up. 2 days may sound silly to fret over now, but in Aug 2015 you might be happy you waited!

Welcome to the AP cool kids club!!!! :)

Love a little Disney every day!! ;)
Like others have said wait until the day you go to the parks because it will start the year of use the day you pick it up.
If you still want to pick it up then Downtown Disney Guest Relations is your best bet! They have one on each side. The marketplace one is the one we usually use. :)

Thanks for the info. Hope it still is true as it will save a lot of time and hassle. Usually Disney's guest relations knows what they are talking about---and I called them twice to ask!

We got our TiW card there last month. Just be sure you go to the Guest Relations booth and not the ticket booth.

Thanks for the advice, I'm undecided on whether to try and get it at DTD tomorrow or just get it at the park Thursday. The downside to waiting is that I'll have to pay to park without my ticket in hand. I'd rather that 15-20 bucks go towards something else.

I went to DTD this morning, parking was easy and I got my pass without problems and the CMs were nice and helpful. Very pleased and excited to go back to Disney for the first time since I was a kid on Thursday.
