Late April or Early May?

I am currently planning on going for 2 days around May 5th. I was thinking that way Spring Breaks are all over. Is late April less crowded? Any other pros/cons?

It all depends on when Easter falls - you'll want to avoid both weeks connected to the Easter weekend.

Early May is a great time to go, since the weather is nice and the parks are less crowded than peak times. If you're interested in Star Wars, you may want to see if a Star Wars weekend will line up with your stay, but those typically start mid-may (at DHS).

Flower and garden is a great time for EPCOT - and each year they've been adding more.

We loved our trip in May 2013 and we went the first week. Have fun planning!!

Our yearly trip usually coincides with the last few days in April, and the early part of May. I don't think you'll see much of a difference between the two crowd-wise, provided Easter is not in late April. Next year it isn't, it's in early April. The crown calendar has them at pretty much the same as well. We find crowds that time of year typically manageable, and not overwhelming. :)

Some of the best weather in Florida is that time of year. Not too hot, lower humidity, and very little rain. As already posted, while it is crowded, the crowds are manageable. Spring break is usually finished by the latter part of April, so the crowd levels are about the same as in early May. Our favorite time of the year to visit. Plus there is the EPCOT Flower and Gardem show.

Like someone else said, if Easter is in late April then it's a no no. Easter is one of the worst times to go because of the crowds. There's considered holiday crowds. If it's not Easter then both are roughly the same. The only thing is that on weekends you might see spikes in crowds as schools within the state take their students to Disney for class trips. These are usually for the day on Fridat or Saturday though. The weather in April isn't bad at all. It is still manageable. Early May isn't bad either, but by mid to late May the humidity and rain are in full effect.

You'll do good either way, with Easter falling in very early April the spring break crowds will have abated. Weekends will see larger crowds than weekdays but manageable.

April will work this year since Easter is early. But early May is awesome IMHO. Truly the calm between the storms of spring break and summer crowds.

Thank you all for responses! I'm pretty much decided on May as of right now. Gives me a little extra time before having to make my ADRs and bookings as well. The general time will also be more convenient I think.
