Thoughts on the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train

Loved it, but would only ride with a FP. As my 10 year old suggested, it would be absolutely perfect if you got to go around twice each time.

    Coffee at the resorts?

There is a Nepresso machine in the lobby of the Villas at the GF. Not a coffee drinker but my wife thought the Joffrey's coffee in the rooms was terrible.

Soarin' Over California VS Soarin' Around the World

I love Soarin', and you just can't replace that first time experience, but I think therein lies the problem for me. Whichever one you like, it is sort of a once and done ride. I certainly wouldn't wait to ride it again without a FP+. This is actually one of the disappointments for me with the...

    First Deluxe Resort Stay?

If your primary is Epcot then one of the Epcot Deluxes. If not, then Grand Floridian.

    Grand Floridian vs. Four Seasons

This was our view from VGF last February (there are rooms at the GF with even better MK views of course). The sunset catches the Contemporary in the evenings, the boats and monorails and fireworks are visible from the balcony. Worth every bit of staying on property and at the GF. The location...

    Advice for renting DVC

I'll second DVC Rental Store. We had a zero issues, easy trip/reservation just as if we had booked it ourselves directly. Our agent (Bethani) was fantastic. Will definitely use DVC Rental Store/Bethani again.

Rope Drop Adventureland for a first trip? Already have fastpass for Mine Train and Peter Pan

There is a short delay while the cast clears out after the opening show.

    Monorail Front Cabin Ride

LOL. I'm with you on this one. Rode in the front multiple times over multiple trips as a child and teenager. The view/experience was just incredible. I'm bummed/it's a shame my kids don't have the opportunity to experience the monorail from the cockpit.

    Cost of Disney

Not sure if we will get slammed or not, but I would pay double for park tickets for half the crowds.....

    UBER from resort to parks

I keep basically cutting and pasting my thoughts on this into different threads, but Uber is an absolute no-brainer. To me the buses are the least magical transportation and biggest waste of time at WDW. Other than monorail destinations or returns, on our last trip this February we used Uber to...

    Car or no car?

If it fits your budget (and I would think it would be less than renting a car): Uber To me the buses are the least magical transportation and biggest waste of time at WDW. Other than monorail destinations or returns, on our last trip this February we used Uber to get to parks in the morning and...

Anyone book thru DVC Rental Store?

We used DVC Rental Store for our February trip this year. Bethani was our agent. It was a 100% smooth, zero issues, would definitely use again deal. We had a gorgeous 1 bedroom at the Villas Grand Floridian on the top floor (1516 to be exact. Will ask for the same room next time.) with a...

If you could bring back an old Disney attraction, what would it be?

I was fortunate to visit Epcot shortly after it opened in the early 80s (I was 11 or 12) and again in the mid to late 80s and it remains my favorite park. It makes me sad that my children are not able to experience Horizons, World of Motion, the original Universe of Energy and the original...

What is the one WDW hack you swear by?

Uber, rope drop, afternoon breaks. Mainly Uber. Uber saves hours of wasted time and frustration.

    Citricos or Narcoosee's?

Well I am apparently in the minority on this one but I will add my two cents (paraphrased from an earlier post). Honestly I wouldn't even put these two restaurants in the same category/level. Narcoossee's was the disappointment of our last trip (out of Artist Point, California Grill, Monsieur...

This hits it for me. You've described Universal ;-).

Cross Shoo Disney Direct vs DVC rentals

I think there are some differences in booking windows as well. When I contacted Disney a couple of years ago to ask, a non DVC member could book available DVC rooms direct from Disney 6 months in advance. You could potentially rent points 11 or 7 months in advance depending and may have more...

WDW without a car - How reliable are the buses?

One word: Uber To me the buses are the least magical transportation and biggest waste of time at WDW. Other than monorail destinations or returns, on our last trip this February we used Uber to get to parks in the morning and to get to and from dining reservations each evening. Never waited...

    Narcoossee's vs Cali grill

Although California Grill was not as good on our last trip (February) as we had remembered it from the previous trip, it is hands down better all around than Narcoossee's in my opinion (no comparison honestly) and still excellent. CG is a bit frenetic, but the food is excellent, the wait staff...
