Rope Drop Adventureland for a first trip? Already have fastpass for Mine Train and Peter Pan

Hello Disney Friends,

My girlfriend and I will be at WDW from 1/29-2/3. It will be her first time and I haven't been since 2004! Needless to say, we are VERY excited! I've been trying to plan out our days and want to make it extra special for her since it is her first time. Our first morning will be at Magic Kingdom...

We currently have fastpasses for Big Thunder Mountain 9:30-10:30, Seven Dwarf Mine Train 10:40-11:40, and Peter Pan 12:30-1:30. I would like for my girlfriend to have a "leisure" morning where we aren't rushing to any rides. What do you think about rope dropping Adventureland and heading to Jungle Cruise and Pirates? Then go to Thunder Mountain and Haunted Mansion before going to Fantasyland? Is this a good strategy? Too much of a time crunch?

Also, should we switch out our Thunder Mountain fastpass for Haunted Mansion? I know that the Mansion will probably be her favorite ride and would like for her to ride for the first time with little to no wait. And when is the best time to check out the new Muppet Show in Liberty Square?

Side note: We have fastpass for Space Mountain and Buzz later in the week

I apologize for all of the questions, just really excited and want to start our visit to WDW in the most perfect way. I think with this strategy, we won't have to wait in big lines and my girlfriend can experience classic Disney rides. Any help is greatly appreciated. Have a great day!!

Used to be BTMRR was always easy to ride during the nighttime parade . Now, I suspect a FP would be useful. HM usually doesn’t need a FP in the AM (nor should pirates). And since it’s her first trip to WDW, I’d head up towards the castle through liberty square to HM or through fantasyland to small world to HM.

I’d catch a FP for JC once you’ve used your first 3

There's something special about walking through the castle for the first time, on your first day at Magic Kingdom. Have you thought about walking through the castle at rope drop, hitting Haunted Mansion, then BTMRR, then heading down to Pirates and JC? Then walk back through the castle into Fantasyland.

If you get to BTMRR and the line isn't bad, you could go through the regular line and use your fast pass afterwards, too.

Does park open at 9:00? I'm assuming park opens at 9

With the new welcome show on the castle stage, can you walk through the castle right after rope drop?
