Guide to DLR for WDW Veterans!

Print at home is fine. The first time you go through the gates they exchange for a regular ticket.

    Leaving the park rituals

I always bid farewell to Walt by tipping my hat to his lamp at DL or to the Storytellers statue at DCA.

I sort of kept waiting for it to fall off.

    DL during Thanksgiving

I don't think it will make much difference. That's Weds through Sun of the week of Thanksgiving. If you cargo a week earlier or a week later you'll probably better off.

Guide to DLR for WDW Veterans!

I've done several 9 and 10 day trips. I'm doing 9 in January. Though I am planning to take one day and go to to Knotts. I'm hoping to someday do three weeks at WDW.

    Crowd calendars

Those predictions sound right to me. I don't know about the ones you listed but I know Touring Plans puts a lot of research into theirs.

Oh, I do. I just use Travelocity to compare.

    Ridiculous Flights

I'm going January 14th. I decided to check Long Beach because the cheapest flight into SNA is 230.00. Long Beach isn't that far and the savings is significant. I don't like South West and they always have plane changes.

    Ridiculous Flights

So I'm checking out flights for my January trip. As Travelocity is loading my search results I notice some extremely expensive flights. Once the full results load I scroll down to the most expensive flight. $2,107.90 for a flight from Salt Lake City to Long Beach with stops in Phoenix and LA...

    Pokemon Go at Disneyland

I read in line. An actual book, usually, because I need to conserve battery power on my phone at DL.

    Happy Birthday Disneyland.

What a great time for your first visit. I took my niece in August that year for her first visit. She was 8. I was 7 on my first visit in 1981. It was a single day in a cross country trip to visit my grandmothers. We lived in Alabama at the time and my Dad's mom lived in Oregon and my Mom's mom...

Well maybe if everyone else is playing, the lines will be shorter.

    Vegas + Disneyland Combo Trip

I would advise arriving 45 minutes to an hour before opening. I didn't really notice much difference in the security lines in May but then I always arrive early. They are likely much longer later in the day.

    Vegas + Disneyland Combo Trip

Mine would look at me funny if were going somewhere other than Disney. One even thought I was at DL when I took 2 weeks off for surgery.

    What did you do?

Over eating after a long run is what triggered my first (and only) gall bladder attack. Be careful. It was the worst night ever and I had to call in sick to work for the first time in10 years. As soon as Tinker Bell (which I was training for at the time) was done I had it out.

    New Shoes

I'm quite pleased with the color. I went in determined not to rule anything out because of color and focus instead on fit and feel. It was just a bonus that they ended up being a color I might have chosen if that had been my criteria.

The Dark Age of Disney Animation: Not That Dark?

Fox and the Hound was probably my favorite Disney movie as a kid. Likely because I was 7 when it came out and the first I remember being excited about. It doesn't live up for me as an adult though I still have a fondness for it.
