Why doesn't the world's top theme park operator know how to operate theme parks?

Yea, this is the first site I've seen where it yanks the page to the top to make the video visible when it starts playing. It certainly aggressively demands your attention. Hopefully it's a bug or a misconfigured video player. But this certainly isn't the first time their video player has...

    The Merch Alert Thread

Sadly no. I live in an apartment complex. I really don't need my neighbors to think I'm any more nuts than they already do. But I bring it out from time to time and hang it on the wall. It really sets the mood. It's one of my favorite hunks of plastic.

    The Merch Alert Thread

Maybe they assume that people who buy it have lit their homes like the ride. I like the sound of that. Granted I own one of these: I really need to get another one. It's not right to just have one.

Tomorrowland is perpetually troubled. So why is it so popular?

    Careful... Turkeys are ornery.

Rivers of America (plus Railroad & Dioramas) Re-Imagineered 2017

The tree house closed a few years ago when they went around upgrading safety railings. They apparently decided it was too expensive to fix. Now it's just theming.

New Disneyland Parking Garage and Transportation Hub

Speaking as someone who drives up from San Diego, that plan was great. For everyone else, that's another matter. As it stands right now if we follow the signs then we end up driving over surface streets through seemingly endless signals to eventually land at Toy Story. Then you hope your...

    My Disneyland Vlogs

Oh man... It's the Titanic Museum in Branson, Missouri. And there's another one in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Two Titanics!! And you can get a Titanic vacation package! Hopefully it includes a life preserver.

Summer Saturdays = Lowest Wait Times Of The Year

You can get two days in a row. Triple blocked Saturdays are the best but double blocked Sundays are usually very nice. That's the way I've done it for years. I stay until closing and the place pretty much clears out after 10:00 PM. Sunday nights from 10 to Midnight are pretty empty The place...

I think that's just the order they paint them. They start with the base coat which is often the most saturated color. Then they add the aging or variation layers on top of that. Those top layers only partially cover the base layer to get the final appearance. That's why it starts out a bit...

    Matterhorn Reopens!

Pirates had fastpass for a while but they had to remove it in 2004 (ish?) I wasn't going to the parks at the time so I didn't see it personally but according to people who did, it caused a real mess. The extra space for the queue in the walkways blocked up New Orleans Square. Busy days became...

    All things Magic Mountain

Well there's a conundrum. If Snake Plissken was at Magic Mountain then I would go there. But if either Mila Kunis or Russel Crowe was there then I would avoid the place. Hmmm...

The security stations on the East side are still in the same place. The metal detectors are kind of hit and miss. Last couple of times I've been there they direct some folks to the metal detectors and let other folks bypass them.

News Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge - Historical Construction/Impressions

Maybe it's a ride envelope thing. I think it would be cool if you start on the bottom floor and drive between their legs. Then later you'd see the top parts again while on the top floor. Anything that's above you would have to be built very sturdily. We're in earthquake country.
