We actually prefer the Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar as they have the best wine flights in the park! We are also usually at World Showcase during Food and Wine and this option fits in well with that.

Yea, AKL really is that type of resort. Taking a resort day is a good idea there. Heck, you need the extra free time just to enjoy the view from your room. It's the one resort I have trouble leaving the room in as there is quite a show going on just outside the balcony view of your room!

Well I can tell you, as a Floridian, that I find the theme at the Grand Floridian to be mind-numbingly boring. I understand the quality of the resort and dining experiences offered there. For my money there are just too many other options with far better themes to enjoy.

Animal Kingdom Lodge is truly the best when it comes to theme, food quality and entertainment. Your family would be hard pressed to find another Disney resort at this point in time that can top what AKL offers. Truly a must do Disney experience! ;)
