One night in the Polynesian Bungalow, Thanksgiving week, rack rate is $3650. o_O
We are DVC and I was told this by a CM when I was inquiring about trip insurance.
I'm going to place my bet/guess for this 2 night cruise, 2 people, meals covered (they have to feed space travelers don't they?), at $3600 each, or $7200.

The title of this thread is about guessing a price. Not saying that you won't go. Go ahead and start a thread that says, "If you don't care to go to the Star Wars Resort, or want to talk about whether others will or won't, tell us all about it here!!"
I made a guess based on what I have heard. Depending on price I'd suck it up and do it. Coming in on a thread that isn't your own to try and embarrass or shame people is uncool especially when not a moderator.

Our nights in Oct were close to $3k. It was insane to see. I hope we are both wrong on our guesses for prices.

Am I the only one who has absolutely no interest in this hotel? I am a science fiction and Star Wars fan. I should be their target demographic. But two days of role playing does nothing for me. If I'm going to Walt Disney World, I've got better things to do with my time than pretend to be a Star Wars character. 🤷‍♂️

I have lots of interest, but not at the price point it will likely end up. I would love it as a part of my vacation, but at the rumored pricing it would equal the cost of a full vacation for me. I am certain it would be an amazing experience, but for that cost I would rather spend 10 days staying at a value, add in a hard ticket event, get my lightsaber at Savi's, and whatever else that money would cover.

I just want to know how long Disney thinks they can sustain what sounds like a very ultra-niche experience before it gets rethemed, or dethemed. In a Venn diagram of people who would want to stay here and who could afford it, I can't imagine the overlap is large enough to maintain a steady stream of guests once the initial hype dies down. Especially because it seems we've passed "peak Star Wars".

My imprecise asking price prediction? If by room, $3599 per night plus an extra $499 for each additional guest beyond the first two. If by guest, then $2599 per head, with all sorts of possible up-charges.

I agree with all of that. Very limited cross-section. I'd love to see Disney's market research and data and how they project how it will fare and for how long. I would guess they have various plans for it, depending on performance, feedback, the economy, etc. I'm very curious, just from that perspective, how it all goes.

  • Standard cabin will be $6600 plus tax and tip for the first 2 people for the Trip (regardless if 2 adults or adult and child). Solo travelers will have to pay the full $6600.
  • Additional Adult will be $1500 per trip
  • Additional Child will be $1250 per trip
All of this information has been confirmed by a Bus Driver and Magic 8 Ball. Plus I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

According to The Site At War With Disney and their 'source':

Cabin for one? Pricing for a 2-night/3-day stay starts at $3,300 for one person, or just over $1,000 per person, per day. Cabins do sleep up to five passengers, so there’s also the option of maxing out the cabin occupancy for a relatively cheaper price per person. A cabin with five passengers would cost $7,200, or roughly $1,440 per person, for a more feasible $480 per person, per day price range.

This is a 2 night stay, so we'll ignore the parts where they inexplicably price this for three days. So, it's comparable to a 2 night stay in a resort or a 2 night cruise trip.

So, for one person, it's a total of $3,300, which is $1,650 per night.

For five friends sharing a room for 2 nights is a total of $7,200, or $3,600 per night. And when divided by the five buddies, $750 per night.

According to @lentesta's source:

Hearing $650/night for Star Wars hotel, minimum 2 nights, $200/person/night for others in room. So $2,500 for 2 nights for fam of 4.

It's somewhat good balance between the individual and the group....

Let's build our own adventure for a 2-night event for one person:
  • Deluxe Resort room: A random day in Feb shows the monorail resort rooms at about $600. So, two nights is $1,200.
  • Signature Meals with characters: Using CRT as a guide, about $60 per adult (not counting alcohol purchase). So, four meals is $240
  • After Hours access to SWL: Using the After Hours pricing, let's call it $100, so, $200 for two nights.
  • LARPing at an average 8 hours per day. Using Escape Rooms, Murder Mystery Dinners, and TheVoid as a guide, let's say $50 an hour, or $400 day, or for two days: $800.
  • Light breakfast, drinks, snacks like you find a club level rooms or a cruise ship... let's say $50/day, so, a total of $100.
That comes to: $2,540. That's $1,270 per night per one person.

Let's do this for a family of five (2 adults, 3 children)...
  • Deluxe Resort room: A random day in Feb shows the monorail resort rooms at about $700 for five. So, two nights is $1,400.
  • Signature Meals with characters: Using CRT as a guide, about $60/$50 children (not counting alcohol purchase). So, four meals for five people is $440
  • After Hours access to SWL: Using the After Hours pricing, let's call it $100, so, $200 for two nights. $1,000 for 5 people.
  • LARPing at an average 8 hours per day. Using Escape Rooms, Murder Mystery Dinners, and TheVoid as a guide, let's say $50 an hour, or $2000 day for five, or for two days: $4000.
  • Light breakfast, drinks, snacks like you find a club level rooms or a cruise ship... let's say $50/day, so, a total of $500.
That comes to: $7,340 which is $3,670 per night. That's a big chunk for a family. Five adults would split it to about $780 per person per night.

It will be determined by how much blood they think they can squeeze out of the turnip.
Oh, wait.... Us turnips won't be able to afford it. It will be determined by how much blood they think they can squeeze out of a truffle. ;)

OK here is my guess and this is based on taking prices from a Disney 3 Day Cruise to the Bahamas and tweaking them.

3 Day / 2 Night Galactic Starcruiser Voyage - Cost for each guest includes all meals and drinks (excluding beer, wine and cocktails). Transportation with Starcruiser escort to various attractions on Batuu included:
  • Adult 1 - $1,100.00
  • Adult 2 - $1,100.00
  • Taxes, Fees - $180.00
  • Grand Total: $2,380.00

Optional excursions/missions - Optional missions that are exclusive experiences available only to Galactic Starcruiser guests:
  • Excursion 1 - $50.00
  • Excursion 2 - $100.00
  • Excursion 3 - $100.00
I think one has to assume that not only is each package has to include the cost of food and drink, but it also must cover transportation and cast member escorts into Galaxy's Edge. Disney is not going to just transport and drop off guests at Blackspire Outpost to wait in lines or secure their own Boarding Groups. There will be a very Disney VIP type of park experience included here for Rise of the Resistance, Savi's Workshop and getting into Oga's Cantina.

new guess: priceless. It may never be completed, somewhat like Pop Century's other half, which eventually became AoA.
This subject now seems like it's from A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away... 😞

Seems like it's too far along to just abandon now. In the grand scheme of things, The Legendary Years was fairly early in the construction process so it was easier to put on hold.

However, given the circumstances, if Disney is tight on money you may be correct.

I agree, Starcruiser construction looks fairly advanced to put on hold by now. Somewhat off-topic, but I wonder if DVC's Reflections Lakeside Lodge is in the same situation.

In another thread wdwpro said both hotels were going to be put on hold. Dont know if that's true, just what he said.

Reflections isn’t just DVC. Half the rooms will be regular hotel rooms.
