D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event—Coming to Anaheim Next August

For these prices, the evening events need to be something like a broadway show. It simply can't be two people letting us know what will be in theaters soon and offering five minute bios for some "legends," about 70% of whom have hardly anything to do with Disney. I'm looking at you, James...

D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event—Coming to Anaheim Next August

The actual pricing arrangement certainly could've been a little more clear. Like a concert, it depends on how close to the stage you are, with many, many different price points. You could buy a ticket for one day and the HC for $100 or you could buy a ticket for four times that, depending on...

Disneyland Forward for California and a couple of new Coke counters for Florida. See, everyone wins.

News EPCOT's Harmonious to be replaced with new nighttime spectacular Luminous

I haven't seen Luminous from the observation platform on the Swan's Reserve. But the fireworks audio use to be wired in over there. I have no idea if that's true for this show. But that's where I'd start.

News EPCOT's Harmonious to be replaced with new nighttime spectacular Luminous

I was at Hoop one year ago. Chicken was not bad. Ribs, not good. But the all you can drink (i.e. three beers) made up for some of that. Also the performers were very good. Has the food taken a nose dive in the last year.

    How is this possible?

True, but someone had to approve the venue as part of the licensing agreement. The location of "SEA WORLD" (a disney competitor) should've sent up a bunch of red flags to whomever licensed it.

    How is this possible?

So for Christmas, Sea World is showing Muppet Christmas Carol at its water park as part of its Christmas line up? This was released by Buena Vista and is under the Disney IP umbrella. [Also they are showing the Universal pictures version of Grinch, which is the basis for the stage show over at...

    DisneylandForward

Someone should point out to here that when Disney bought the land, it wasn't in Anaheim. It was unincorporated Orange County. Anaheim CHOSE to annex the land into the city after Disney bought it.

If you could only take one lens with you to the parks that day, what would it be and why?

I'm using a Nikon Z now. But something right around this seems perfect--for indoors, night, and mornings.

    Food price increase? October 2023

Food at Disney Springs and most of the resort hotels is typically better and less expensive than what is at QS in the parks.

Full Pavillon evacuation at The Land - Sept 11, 2023

I've been there for one of these as well. Likely just a smoke alarm. This and Mexico are a couple of the most difficult pavilions to evacuate due to the limited public exit points and the depth of the building. (There are fire exits--but everyone is just going to head to the escalators and the...

Somehow if the part about fireworks being shot off over the parking lot didn't phase them, I doubt structure changes to the park will either.

    News Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2023

I have a feeling that this has to do with the SAG strike. Voice actors are part of SAG, so they have partially restricted activities right now. I'm guessing that if there were plans for some new voice work, this may have been scuttled by the strike.

I've also had luck getting same day tickets in the past at the ticket office over at Disney Springs.

    National Geographic is in trouble.

It seems so clear that Nat Geo and ESPN have very little connection with the core identity to Disney.
