DDP Food Portions vs Non DDP Food Portions

I say that's people trying to justify not using the DDP! :ROFLOL: I'm always seeing claims that the wait staff service is worse, or you wait for your seats longer, etc. That has not been our experience at all. We ate non-DDP in May 2007, then did all DDP in May 2008...I did not notice any...

California Grill - How long for dinner?

you can still view the fireworks from the deck even if you're done eating (even if you're done long before fireworks time.) When we were there in May 2008, we had the earliest ADR (5:30.) Meal took nearly 2 hours, but was still only 7:20 or so when we got done. Both the CM who took us up to...

    tipping

Not true. She's kidding you, or just repeating a silly rumor she heard. We were there in May 2008, on the DDP. The suggested tip is printed on the receipt...it is figured from the actual total on each receipt...if the total was $50, that's what the tip is figured from.

    Can I?

No, you do not need to call them back, just tell them when you check in for each reservation. The meal plan is not linked to your reservation number and the reservations # would not change unless you change the time or # of people (they usually have your reservation number linked to your phone...

    Can I?

poster did not say he was staying off property, he said it was room-only, probably converting to package later...which means he is staying on property. so he will be able to utilize the 180 + 10 rule to make all reservations in one call at the 180 day mark.

    Cinderellas Royal Table

we just had dinner there in May 2008...thought it was good food & a fun, fantastic place to eat. Picture with Cinderella was fun, and the Fairy Godmother does a little "celebration" show with 2 mice maids. The mice appear first and do go around to tables for quick hugs & pics, but the fairy...

    Drinks around the world

at the drink stand outside Morocco, we had a lovely drink...I can't remember the name, but it tasted much like a pina colada (and ingredients listed sounded like a pina colada with the addition of almond flavoring) It was wonderful...

To tip or not to tip that is the question?

We tip about $1 per person per day, so if 3 in the room, we'd leave $3 per day. If housekeeping did an exceptionally great job, we leave $5 or $10 on our last day. We tip each day, and leave notes saying Thanks, too (also include any special requests, like if we want extra coffee or more...

    Indy Jones Stunt question

    Most Disappointing Meal in WDW?

California Grille...May 2008 It was o.k., even good. But just that, good. NOT fabulous, NOT outstanding. Not worth 2 credits on the Dining Plan. Not worth $38 for a filet. And although we had a window table, no view, cuz they don't open blinds until dusk (they are light-filtering, so you...

Out of luck without 180 day ADR?

Book Immediately! Please disregard advice about other times of the year...the free dining program is completely different and books up completely (like 100% booked.) On many of the very popular restaurants there are not times available day after day during Free Dining.) What somebody booked...

    Alcoholic beverages at WDW restaurants?

Thanks, Monty...may have to check out the bars near the restaurants since we're not much on wine drinking...Surf Fish--awesome list! I've already copied & pasted to my vacation folder. Knew about a couple of these already, but others sound interesting, too...like the Viking coffee. I love...

    Alcoholic beverages at WDW restaurants?

Departing in 6 days for WDW:sohappy::sohappy::sohappy: We're finalizing $$$ needs (I know, Mickey gets them all:hammer:) But, we're on the DDP and need to know if Adult Libations are available at the Tusker House Buffet in Animal Kingdom? What about Hollywood & Vine at the Disney...

    True or False?

From what I've been told, unless the person has a doctor's letter, it will be a judgement call from the CM at Guest Relations as to whether or not you get a Guest Assistance pass. I have heard of people getting these passes for many reasons, including ones that are not obvious at all. In the...

Quick question. Where can I get ....

Dole whip at Aloha Isle, Adventureland, Magic Kingdom and Counter service in the Polynesian resort. And yes, the Dole whip counts as a snack on DDP. don't know about Funnel cakes, not a big fan! Also counts as snack on DDP.
