I honestly don't know why you think that. Moana is literally one of the most streamed movies and it constantly trended in the top 10 on Disney+ ever since the service was released in 2019.

I didn't hate the movie or anything but I remember how marketing called it "The best since The Lion King" and it wasn't anywhere near as great as the '90s films, especially not The Lion King or Beauty and the Beast. I mostly thought that the songs were okay, a little bit too pop in my opinion...
